I found it by accident today: guhoyas.collegesports.com/sports/m-lacros/sched/gu-m-lacros-sched.htmlSix home games this year (4 on Saturday, 2 on Wednesday). The home schedule's really not much to write home about. Much tougher road schedule including Syracuse, Duke, and Navy. Plus side maybe is the chance for Saturday roadtrips if Hoya Blue wants to do them to Annapolis, Durham, and Baltimore (Loyola). Here's the problem though...not a good sign when this happens: (Lacrosse) Sat 02/25/06 Maryland Washington, D.C. 1:00 PM (Basketball) Sat 02/25/06 Syracuse MCI Center NC8 12:00 That might be one of those situations where the Athletic Department stand to get a phone call. Wouldn't want to lose all those student fans...and heck, all the non-student fans...b/c of that conflict.

Wow... almost as bad as scheduling a home opener during Thanksgiving break.... The Athletic Dept. still has a long way to go when it comes to thinking about the student fans. And with this bit of scheduling, they can't use the venue excuse- Men's Lacrosse can play on the the MSF whenever they want. Hard to understand really.

That's horrible.
EDIT: Agreed with TBird, I might be pumped up more for Syracuse than Duke.

As a Minnesotan, two things come to mind:
1) Won't there be too much snow/be too cold on Febuary 25th to play an outdoor sport?
2) Isn't Lacrosse basically Hockey on grass, only with less checking?
and an extra bonus thought: 3) I'm really glad that the Cuse game will keep me from having to sit in the cold and snow and watch a game I don't really understand. Also, the Cuse game pretty much trumps everything for me this year. There are two things I want out of this bball season: a win over Cuse and a NCAA berth. And I'll be honest--I'm not sure if I'd rather see them in the NCAAs or beat Cuse.

Lacrosse has less checking than hockey? With the new NHL, that's probably not the case anymore.
