Well, the good news is that the Hoyas finished and they weren't last. The women actually finished right where they were ranked in 27th place (out of 31 teams).
75. Maggie Infeld 21:11 110. Elizabeth Maloy 21:32 125. Erin Henry 21:44 138. Lise Ogrodnick 21:50 165. Joanna Rodgers 22:08 195. Kim Malcolm 22:43 200. Sabine Knothe 22:57
Stanford won, as Duke, #1 for most of the season, was 3rd, with defending champs Colorada 2nd.

The Hoyas, ranked as high as 7th and 9th in the last ranking, finished 16th, about the same place as last year. The highest BE team was Notre Dame, which finished an outstanding 3rd. Iona, which GU was ranked higher than all year, finished 4th. The race for first was supposed to be between Wisconsin and Arkansas, but Wisconsin ran away with it by placing six men in the top 15! They scored 37 points to Arkansas' 105. The Hoyas finished with 440. Fleet Hower in 26th place (33 among the individuals) for team placings led the Hoyas.
26. Fleet Hower 30:17 72. Dan Nunn 30:57 73. Charlie Millioen 30:58 131. Matt Debole 31:32 138. Michael Krisch 31:38 145. Andre Laboy 31:43 146. Chris Esselborn 31:43
Matt must be still suffering (at least training wise) from what kept him out of the Regional. A fit Debole should finish about 50th. For next year we have a (hopefully) healthy Matt Debole, Dan Nunn, and Michael Krisch, along with Andre Laboy.

Women were about as expected, probably a bit below whre they would have expected at the beginning of the year as expectations have been ratcheted down as the freshman were either injured or not ready. I guess that they should be slightly better next year as they keep their two natl level runners and add a probable third, Labeaud, from redshirt. Hopefully the Canadian sisters can regain their HS form and /or some really top level X/C recuits arrive. The early signees are not really natl level X/c runners, more mid distance talent.
Men, I guess were below expectation as I guess Debole is hurt still. They should have a strong squad again next yr with Nunn, Debole, Bumby + others and I'm sure will expect to be top 10.

If Matt finished about 50th, the Hoyas would have been 9th (their rating); as it was my son's alma mater, little University of Portland finished 9th. The Pilots have a chance to make a splash on the national soccer front as the women's team plays Notre Dame on Friday in a contest that will determine who will go to the final four. UP is undefeated, once tied, but ND has won 12 in a row and has outscored their opponents over that stretch, 60-3).
