The Hoyas will be splitting the XC squad this weekend. Some will run the IC4As, while the rest of the team will be at the NCAAs in Indiana on Monday.

The women's potential lineup for the NCAAs:
Georgetown Name Comp# Sex Year 1. Collins, Kailin 280 W FR 2. Hanson-Hall, Nana 281 W JR 3. Henry, Erin 282 W SR 4. Infeld, Maggie 283 W SO 5. Knothe, Sabine 284 W JR 6. LaBeaud, Natasha 285 W FR 7. Malcolm, Kim 286 W JR 8. Maloy, Elizabeth 287 W SO 9. Ogrodnick, Avril 288 W FR 10. Ogrodnick, Lise 289 W FR 11. Rodgers, Joanna 290 W SO Obviously, not all will run in Indiana, e.g., Natasha is redshirting. Also, each team is limited to seven entries. I am not sure with the seven running here, we will have enough for a team at the IC4As.

The men's entries at the NCAAs:
Georgetown Name Comp# Sex Year 1. Dalpiaz, Brian 291 M JR 2. DeBole, Matt 292 M SO 3. Esselborn, Chris 293 M SR 4. Hower, Fleet 294 M SR 5. Krisch, Michael 295 M FR 6. Laboy, Andre 296 M JR 7. Manning, Tommy 297 M SR 8. Mason, Alex 298 M FR 9. Millioen, Charlie 299 M SR 10. Nunn, Dan 300 M SO 11. Thompson, Rasheed 301 M SO 12. Young, Shane 302 M SO Again, not all will run. Seven will run at NCAA and five (if everybody is healthy) will run at IC4As. The mostly likely NCAA lineup will be Fleet Hower, Matt Debole, Charlie Millioen, Dan Nunn, Michael Krisch, Chris Esselborn, Andre Laboy or Tommy Manning. The rest will run at IC4As. The final team will depend on who is hot in practice.

I have the individual results for the IC4As, but no team information expect that Duke won the men's and Cornell won the women's.
The women had only three finishers, thus no full team: 35. Nana Hanson-Hall 18:54.0 65. Meghan O'Neil 19:46.8 71. Avril Ogrodnick 20:03.4 Avril must have had health issues this season. Expect more from her next year.
The men had six finishers and thus a full team: 17. Rasheed Thompson 25:34.5 57. Brian Dalpiaz 26:08.1 59. Shane Young 26:10.3 62. Scott Bastek 26:11.8 79. Alex Mason 26:26.2 103. Brandon Bonsey 26:45.6
So the men did fair in the race. Rasheed had a good race, but I was expecting more from some of the others, especially Brian. He started out so well at the beginning of the season. Maybe some chronic injury.

Since none of the eight I predicted would run at NCAAs ran at the IC4As, I expect one of the eight had an injury/illness. Only seven can run at NCAAs, the odd man out would have run at IC4As if healthy (unless the Hoyas are hedging their bets and taking eight to Indiana in case one gets sick, as happened at Regionals).

agree w/ your guess re: avril nevada, she was gu's top recruit and was much much faster even as a hs junior, brian probably has never really recovered from injury-he was pretty much on the same level as debole in hs

The men's winner at IC4As today, as I mentioned, was Duke with 98 points, followed by Cornell at 112, and Notre Dame 127. We had 274, so we were not even close. Even though Duke and Cornell ran their A teams, Notre Dame ran their B's, since they will be at the NCAAs on Monday (back home in Indiana). I expected that with our depth this year we had a better B team.
