In this week's XC poll the Hoyas crashed the top 10 poll coming in at #9 in the country. They have a chance of getting #5 Notre Dame at the Big East in NY in 10 days.

As expected the women fell out of the top 30, but just barely, getting points for 31st. This may be significant, because just about 31 teams make the NCAA. They have to have a good showing at the BE. Other than that they have to finish in the top two in the Region.

Great for XC team! Hope the women are able to crack the top 30 again soon. I'm so proud of these teams. They do SO MUCH with so little.

Scary! The Hoyas are up to #7 in the country. Tommy Manning keeps thinking the Hoyas will catch Notre Dame at #5. He said the Hoyas were with the Irish at the Big East up until 5K, but they got away and cemetary hill at VCP is a tough place to get them back. There is a small meet at Virginia, I believe this weekend. The Hoyas will probably run their 2nd team. Then regionals and NCAAs. Also, the IC4As will be the weekend before nationals, so GU will probably run the team there that runs at Virginia this week.
In the national poll Wisconsin switched places with Arkansas, as Wisco dominated the Big 10, taking eight of the first nine places.

Women dropped two spots in this week's poll, but still within the top 31, which is partially why they are headed to the NCAAs. If Elizabeth is better, look for a top 25 finish.

Even though the Hoyas dominated their region (Mid Atlantic), they mirrored the women dropping two places, but they are still in the top 10. Arizona, which won the Pacific region beating former #4 Stanford, and UTEP both passed the Hoyas.
