This weekend Lehigh University will host the Paul Short XC meet. A blurb from their website:
On the men’s side, Georgetown (No. 12 nationally) will look to become just the second team in history to “three-peat”, a feat that Penn State accomplished from 1979-81. Other men’s teams scheduled to appear are Columbia (No. 26), Villanova (No. 27), Southeastern Conference (SEC) member Auburn, as well as regionally ranked La Salle, Penn State and Princeton.

She's BACK!!! Elizabeth Maloy won the Paul Short XC meet today with a time of 20:28 (6K) to win by over 5 seconds. She pulled the Hoyas to a 2nd place finish behind Columbia, which was ranked as high as 10th this year. Five of our seven runners today were either freshmen or sophomores, so that bodes well for the future. Plus Natasha didn't run today.
The finishers and times and places:
1. Elizabeth Maloy 20:28 11. Maggie Infeld 20:53.2 35. Lise Ogrodnick 21.30 45. Erin Henry 21:40 46. Sabine Knothe 21:43 53. Avril Ogrodnick 21:47.8 106. Kailin Collins 22:21.2
Top teams 1. Columbia 121, Average 21:12.7 2. Georgetown 138, 21:15.0 (spread 1:15.6) 3. Tennessee 4. Maryland 5. Cornell 6. Villanova

Looks like the women would have won if Natasha Labeaud had run. Great comeback for E. Maloy, definitely bodes well for the future.
Men look pretty strong, looks like they could have been top 5 natinally if they hadn't lost Lukezic

Yes, if the men hadn't lost Lukezic and Koborsi had an extra year of XC, instead of track, we could have definitely been top 5. The future looks pretty good both for men and women.

A little more on the men's race today from an eyewitness:
i was at the race and georgetown all ran the first mile together in 5 flat. Everyone was t 459 or 5 flat and then they really picked it up. 5 flat opening mile, they were probably in 150th in this race. They worked up a ton and debole averaged 4:50 per mile AFTER going 5 flat for the first mile. He would have been vying for the win if they didnt hang back. He was in no better than 10th-12th with one mile to go. He was flying at the end and as was the rest of the Georgetown team.
