guhoyas.collegesports.com/genrel/062305aab.htmlAD has announced the hiring of a coach, Pat Conlan, who was most recently pitching coach at NC St. She played at UConn. The release says the Hoyas will begin play as independents starting with the 2006 season- that seems awfully soon for a team that was not able to recruit for this year and has no field on-campus, but at the same time the program was supposed to start at least two years ago.

Cool, but definitely not much time to get a program up and running. Need assistant coaches, a practice facility, a game day facility, a strategy to get into a conference, teams that will play you, recruits, etc.

Cool. Any word on where they will play/practice? Probably just like baseball, at Cabin John. (Just my totally uninformed speculation.)
