Congratulations!
GU women finished #3 in the country at Nationals this week in the championship regatta held in Austin Texas.
Congratulations to skipper Derby Anderson and crew Barbara Hall in the A fleet as well as skipper Blare Herron and crew Emily Sigular in the B fleet.
The team racing championships will be held Sunday till Tuesday and the Dinghy championship will be Wednesday till Friday, with Georgetown competing in all three divisions.
Good luck to the rest of the team.

Looks like the Hoyas just missed out on the final four in Team Racing, and will finish 5th in that championship, despite going 5-2 this morning, they couldn't quite dig out of yesterday's 1-6 hole, missing out on the final four by one win.

Year in and year out, Mike Callahan puts one of the University's top athletic programs out on the water - its a shame they don't get any sort of recognition. I was lucky enough to cover the team on their national championship run back in my junior year for The Hoya - the last time (I'm guessing) they made the front page of The Hoya sports section on more than a few occasions (due to their many successes and NOT my writing skills, of course).
Crew ain't the only water sport on The Hilltop...

GU currently 4th, only 6 points behind the leader, Dartmouth... and 6 points isn't that hard to make up.
