Was the trip cancelled because of a lack of interest, or because Nova took back GU's ticket alotment? I was going to try to go up independent of the bus trip, but there are no tickets available according to all of the sources I have heard from.

i left a message about going on the trip yesterday. i got a call back saying that it was being called off due to lack of interest. dude then told me to call and i should be able to get a ticket if i wanted to get there on my own. i was transfered and told by another person they would call me back tomorrow with the yay or nay.
guess ill have to wait for an answer
funny how a sold out game cant even make it on to a television set...awesome...its not like im asking for it to be in HD...ill settle for black and white

KGHoya,
Our television situation is pathetic right now, mainly due to a Editeding match between Comcast and ESPN. ESPN owns the rights to all BE games and Comcast will not pay them for the rights to broadcast Nova games. Unfortunately we are the odd man out! Until our team improves and gets back on the national scene, forking out the cash to put us on TV may not make sense for Comcast.
There is optimism that the TV situation will improve next season...we'll see.
Either way, it is totally unacceptable that a VU-GU game is not being televised!

snowdog - i wish networks were fighting over the Hoyas, but after the trauma of actually being coached by Craig Eshrick for a considerable amount of time I think the only thing the program was attracting before the arrival of JTIII was vultures.

And of course, true to form, they still advertised the bus trip at the game.
