Only one recruit from Manhasset, NY (my home town); that only makes a total of five from Manhasset on the Hoyas next year.

Don't know how Class of 09 will shake out yet (that's the announcement above) but scuttlebutt has it that it is pretty good. IL also has GU in pre-season poll at #6 with the usual suspects (JHU, SU, Pton, Navy & MD) ahead of us. Don't know if this year is the best shot yet to go back to the Final Four but we'll see. We shouldn't put too much pressure on the frosh; much like hoops, there's a significant difference/step up between High School and College Lax....

Update: Brennan Kelly won C. Markland Kelly Award for best lax player in state of Maryland--led his McDonogh Eagles to an MIAA title and a mythical national HS championship....looks like Urick did it again in terms of recruiting! See the enclosed link as well.... www.laxpower.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8939

Correct - it is this year's freshman class that was rated #1. Cannon, McBride, Kahoe, Kass (top goalie recruit from a year ago) and plus several others - a Dman who got lots of action and a middie who played on man up team. Next year's should be good too. Landon had 13 players(so I am told go D1). Samperton and Nibley are they best. Landon had a top player to Duke and another to Princeton who both made all Met.
HoyaLax continues to look up. Big losses this year but much coming back. There is no replacing Brodie and how do we continue the dominance of face offs ? Many of the other top schools have lots coming back - Duke, MD to name but two.
