What exactly is this? I get emails from them via a few of my friends all the time.
I usually send it to spam, but I could be convinced otherwise if its a worthwhile tool.
(And with this post, I take back my title from 'Bridge as having the most recent post in every HoyaTalk thread).

It seems to work best for sales people or people who are looking for a job or recruiting, although people in lots of other industries are there. I had used it sparingly for a little while until a friend of mine who just started in Real Estate got really active in it. I've found people I knew and hadn't had contact with years who are working in fields I'm interested in or may be looking for a job in. I've also reconnected with other people I hadn't seen in awhile. There are networking groups for college alumni groups or schools (there's a GU MBA one and maybe a MSB one so far) that allow you to directly contact any other members of the group. There are other groups for charities/clubs and other organizations. Here's their about page: www.linkedin.com/static?key=company_info&trk=ftr_abt
