Actor (Grandpa) Al Lewis died Friday at 95...but now his family says he was only 82. That severely plays with a timeline of when he went to high school in the late 1920's, joined the circus, and earned a Ph.D at Columbia before becoming an actor in 1949...heck, under that timeline, he would have been only 40 when he starred on The Munsters, which doesn't sound right, either.
About 15 years ago a reporter from The HOYA had a interview with Lewis, who was a longtime college and pro basketball scout in New York. He said he had scouted a number of former Georgetown, St. John's and Seton Hall players over the years, though he didn't say which ones.
