From the AP: Ex-Georgetown coach Craig Esherick's opinion on the recently completed trade of Mike Sweetney to the Chicago Bulls:
"It is absolutely crazy ... for the Knicks to countenance that. And if anyone wants me to spell it, I will. For the Knicks to countenance forcing a 23-year old to have to put up with that crap and to permit Isiah Thomas to get away with that, it just doesn't make any sense. That is crap. That is unfair and it’s got to stop. It’s got to stop right now.”
Esherick continued:
"I think its amazing that Mike has been able to stay as calm as he has. But I’m not going to behave that way anymore. I am sick of this. I am absolutely sick of the way Mike Sweetney is being treated."
He concluded, before angrily hanging up the phone:
“I will pay Isiah Thomas to sit in the post and have someone beat the crap out of him and see how he likes it.”
This is not an Associated Press account. Avoid citations that do not have a basis in fact.
As to this board's peculiar response anytime the name Craig Esherick is cited, let's move on.--Admin.

What is Esherick talking about? The guy didn't get a solid chance and now he is moving on, big deal. If I were sweets, I would be happy to be anywhere outside of NY.

I'm not a big fan of Esherick. I am really curious about what everyone else thinks about him, though. Thoughts?

You make a strong point, FTB, but I think he was a terrible coach. Damn you, Esh!

This guy is ridiculous ... thank God the Hoya Blue held that rally that got him fired.
Since this topic is way off topic and is essntially a satire piece, it has been moved to the B&G board.
For the record, Coach Esherick was not fired based on any rally.--Admin

It is redic that this message was moved... i don't understand why satire related to hoya basketball past or present can't appear on the regular basketball board. i think people are a little too sensitive about Esh talk. if we can't talk about the past how can we move forward. it reminds me of the Historikerstreit in Germany - we are like a bunch of German citizens who don't know how to deal with the fact that the Holocaust took place in our country. maybe this analogy is a little over the top... but i hope some of you agree. it's not like we can't be excited about the future while discussing the past. the Esh era is a part of where we are today - a spoof on Esh is legit and relevant to hoya basketball board. if people want to spend their time writing messages about it why not allow it. how is it more relevant to move this to a board about "Politics, religion, and civil discussion">?

He not only assassinated Franz Ferdinand but he also invaded Belgium violating her neutrality shortly afterwards. But to balance the ledger he still grooms a high quality retro-70's porn stash - so he's not all bad.
