The conservative columnist, Ann Coulter, who was fired from MSNBC in 1997 for attacking a Vietnam veteran on the air and has attacked the faimilies of 9/11 victims, muslims, and was exposed for creating most of the facts in her book Scandal by Al Frankin is now being accused of plagirising a recent article by liberal bloggers and the liberal news portal Raw Story. Given their biases, the lines taken from her article do bear a strong similarity to items written 20 or 15 years ago. rawstory.com/news/2005/coulter_caught_cribbing_column_720

Well, this is just silly. Hey, I'm no Ann Coulter fan. I think she's a vile, screaming harpy and I don't like listening to her any more than...well, than Al Franken. What's the male version of a harpy? Herpy? Himpy? Hippie?
(Now Laura Ingraham, on the other hand...Me-OWWW!)
But all this article is doing is citing examples of "taxpayer-funded speech". Of course some of the examples are going to be ones that others have used before. She's not passing off any ideas as her own, it's just a laundry list. It'd be like accusing Jayson Stark of plagiarism for writng an article that contained a list of the last 25 Super Bowl champions, because CBS Sportsline already had that list.
I hope no one is wasting their time with this.
Sorry, I know I normally don't join these political discussions, unless it's to cite an instance where someone made a remark that prompted a Simpsons quote. But some of the things these right and left Web sites try to chase down are just ludicrous, to quote Mike Tyson (I attribute that to him so as not to be accused of plagiarism).
Anyway, I'll retreat now. Please resume any serious conversations. Just remember what Fox News tells us. . .
"Do Democrats cause cancer? Find out at Foxnews.com. ... ... Rupert Murdoch: Terrific Dancer. ... ... Dow down 5000 points. ... ... Study: 92 percent of Democrats are gay. ... ... JFK posthumously joins Republican Party. ... ... Oil slicks found to keep seals young, supple. ... ... Dan Quayle: Awesome."

Isn't Coulter the literary genius who blesses us with those moronic "So much for global warming!" columns every time it's unseasonably cool? It's going to be 102 degrees here in Raleigh. I think I can vouch for global warming making a strong comeback, Coulter.

We cooled down over the weekend, only to get 85% humidity. Now that seems like Raleigh now.

Bah! Yahoo weather says it's currently 95 degrees, but the humidity's so low (25%) that it feels like 94! The air actually cools you off a bit! Outrageous! I went to a ballgame last night and was concerned that I was going to drown in my own sweat.
85% humidity in Vegas, however, sounds like a crime that neither man nor beast should have to suffer. Definitely reminiscent of what we get on a regular basis out here.

Well, it has cooled down significantly today. That cinches it for me. Global warming must be a myth.
