www.drudgereport.com/dnc82.htmAside from the motives of the author and the contents of the book (like two of Kerry's purple hearts were for self-inflicted wounds), it's pretty amazing that a book like this would make it to #2 on Amazon.com. Usually these types of books get the publicity but not necessarily the sales. Interesting.

Many right-wing groups buy the books en masse quantities to push the book to bestseller lists. Ann Coulter's books get that treatment, for example. So, the sales rank probably does not reflect individual purchases but has more to do with well-financed groups using their funds to buy the books and support sympathetic authors.

Well, that phenomenon would explain the "Buy 3 conservative books for $1!" ads I see in the margin of conservative web pages from time to time.
Guess you have to do what you can "for the team." Seem pretty pathetic, but if it's the only way you can match actual people lining up to put their hard cash down for either of the Clintons' books, then I guess that's the best you can do.
