Did you guys know the comedian went to GU? Class of '88. I know this is a random posting, but I'm going to see his act this weekend and I just found that out. He's one of the better stand-ups working today, by the way. Can't imagine GU has produced too many comics.... end of random discourse.

There's also Mike Birbiglia, class of 2000. He is not as big as Gaffigan, but he is a regular on Comedy Central and tours college campuses. He was at GU a few weeks ago. Nice kid, always pretends to know me when he sees me, which I appreciate.

Finally, some new stuff from Birbiglia...
... although he did use his Busta Rhymes bit... again.
I laughed out loud the first time he did that, which just happened to be when he hosted the improv/comedy show in Gaston his senior year. C'mon, Mike... move on.

Nick Kroll (class of 2001?) has also been making a number of appearances on VH1 countdown specials, and a ton of commercials, including a couple of the more common Verizon ones. And there's a sort of Hoya alumni network for comedians in NYC, including an improv troupe (littleman, i think).

I like Birbiglia's Georgetown specific humor. He has a great bit on crazy lady on M Street with all the signs.
Mike opened for Tracy Morgan a few years ago at Gaston, and Morgan did a 15 minute bit on the travails of anal sex. I think they remembered to cover the crucifix over his head, but we all knew it was still there. I've never seen a more uncomfortable room of white people in my life. Awesome.

The best part of that show was Morgan picking on the kid who was with his girlfriend in the front row. It went something like - in his best impersonation of some dopey Southern California jerk (sorry, Coast2Coast) - this: "Mr. Morgan, that's NOT cool. You're talking about f-----g my girlfriend in the a--. Not cool, Mr. Mor-gaaaan." hahahahahaha...
