Any thoughts, good or bad, on "Teach for America?"

Never done it, but I have plenty of friends who are doing it. They all say it's hard work and very fulfilling. Biggest knock on TFA is that kids who do it don't have any intention of continuing a career as a teacher. So TFA brings in great kids from great schools to teach for a few years-- but then those kids leave for other jobs. Because of this, there is a little resentment between the TFA teachers and regular teachers. That's it though. It's tough, but I've heard it's awesome.

I think it is a good idea for liberal arts graduates who are not sure about a career path. I have heard that it helps with Law school and MBA admissions quite a bit, and I think that is the main selling point to seniors.
