select.nytimes.com/2005/10/09/opinion/09kristof.html?n=Top%2fOpinion%2fEditorials%20and%20Op%2dEd%2fOp%2dEd%2fColumnists%2fNicholas%20D%20KristofI don't know if anyone saw Nicholas Kristof's NY Times column on Sunday about efforts by university students to do something about the genocide in Darfur. The column mentions an organization, STAND, started bt Gtwon student. According to the column: "So far more than 100 colleges have raised money for the fund (www.genocideinterventionfund.org), and universities have become the center of the movement to stop the slaughter. A group started at Georgetown, Stand (Students Taking Action Now: Darfur), has chapters nationwide and across Canada..." Can anybody tell me more about the organization? I'm glad to hear that Georgetown students are taking this moral stand.
