Haha. That is classic. What is this GW that you speak of? (Brushing off my shoulders)
Seriously, complex much? Well, at least it is done with class...

Yet another reason to schedule GW next basketball season.
EDIT: Aren't GW's colors blue and yellow anyway? They needed to put yellow letters on the shirts -- it looks like a shirt for disgruntled Georgetown students with the white lettering.

They needed to put yellow letters on the shirts -- it looks like a shirt for disgruntled Georgetown students with the white lettering. I couldn't disagree more about scheduling GW. It would be analagous to ND scheduling BC in football; a no win situation for for ND (GU). GW/BC hates/cares about GU/ND far more that we do about them. That game becomes the focus of their year ("At least we beat GU/ND") where GU/ND is supposed to beat GW/BC, and anything less is simply a failure. In both cases GU/ND is the superior academic, and at least historically athletic institution, to the extent that it has given GW/BC a complex about being the second best schoolindc/catholicD1footballteam, around. I know this isn't what the thread was about, and a game with GW might be kinda fun, but there'd be everything to lose and nothing to gain, like the poor 103 pound wrestlers in high school who sometimes have to wrestle girls. If I was at GW, though, I probably would buy a shirt. Because I'd be stupid. ;D

Those shirts just reinforce a lot of things about GW. They really need to get over their complex about GU and be happy about where they go to school. It is pretty ridiculous.

LOL.... Thats hilarious...
They should just write "INFERIORITY COMPLEX" across their chests!
I've heard that at Villanova they have "Friends don't let friends go to Georgetown" shirts. HA!
You know you're great when people envy you that much.

It should say "'cause I got rejected and ended up at GW" on the back.

Alright, somebody fire up some response Tees
GWho? GW - Taking Georgetown Rejects Since 1821 GW - Buff and Blue and Green with Envy GW Bush League
envy (n.) 'en-vE 1. A feeling of discontent and resentment aroused by and in conjunction with desire for the possessions or qualities of another 2. The object of such feeling: Joe was the envy of all the kids down the hill in Foggy Bottom.

Building off Cambridge's ideas
1. When I run out of toilet paper I wipe my ass with a GW Diploma
2. Georgetown Washouts

Honestly, printing up a "response" t-shirt is not worthwhile. It gives them a sense of equivalence, which is belied by pure facts.
This idea is kind of like accepting a Rutgers t-shirt in the HB t-shirt swap. Why do it? If it is UNC, Duke, ND, that's one thing, but Rutgers?

I don't really get the point of these shirts. I mean, do we actually have a rivalry with them? We barely play them in any sport!
But if and when we do, I can't wait to bust out the cheer: "George-town's Wait-List" (clap, clap, clap clap clap). Honestly, what's with their inferiority complex? I really couldn't give a rat's ass about GW and their goofy Colonial hats. What is it that gets them so riled up about us?

I don't know if we're playing them in any sport this year. We didn't in Soccer, we don't in football (they don't have a squad) and we aren't in Women's BBall. Which is too bad, b/c I already called dibs on the cheersheet design for the HB event. It would have been so simple too:
3 cheers: Georgetown Waitlist clap clap clapclapclap We're just Better clap clap clapclapclap You're just jealous clap clap clapclapclap
And that'd be it.

I really couldn't give a rat's ass about GW and their goofy Colonial hats. What about those things? Can I trade in one of them? (Long story, but yeah there's one in my closet.) Clearly, I am desperate for another I Bleed Hoya Blue shirt.

Yes you may trade it in.
TBird brings up a good point - Hoya Blue is planning on having an event at the GW vs. Georgetown Women's Basketball home game. How can we make this event special for the fragile rich kids with inferiority complexes and worthless degrees across town. Here are some ideas off of the top of my head:
1) Encourage all Georgetown students to bring their acceptance letters to the game with them if they have them and wave them at the GW students whenever they say anything.
2) Yeah, I think number 1 should just about do it.

Not going to happen. As I said above, we aren't playing them in ANYTHING. Looks like we denied their teams' scheduling requests, just like we denied their students applications.
