I was watching NFL Tonight's conversation with Jerry Rice - he said amongst other things that if he does get cut he will be looking forward to attending his oldest daughter's orientation at Georgetown. Maybe he could stick around and give our receivers a few pointers during drills. Can't hurt to learn from the best ever.

I know, having a celebrity dad or mom amongst the class of new students (freshmen and transfers) is nothing new. But I am a little disappointed that since I am a transfer OA this year I won't have much of a chance to "bump into" the Rices with a football and sharpie in hand.

Hey, when I was at GU, I knew Mike Fratello's daughter. He even showed up at senior ball.

Our Senior Ball I got to meet Kurt Russel, Goldie Hawn and Diane Keaton (and her weird white gloves she apparently wears everywhere). I was in a bunch of classes with his son, Boston, who was a fellow theology major. Of course, the best I could do upon meeting an actor who I think is pretty good and USUALLY picks some good roles was muster up "Nice to meet you.... The Thing is one of my favorite movies ever!"

How could you forget that Susan Lucci was there too?!? Honestly, sometimes I wonder about you. Although nothing was funnier than Goldie giggling and shooting everything on her video camera...especially when random girls were dancing with Kurt.

We had Ben Stein. One of my friends spent half of senior ball talking German Opera with him.

Is Ben Stein, in a social situation, more like the Ben Stein on the Comedy Central game show or more like the Nixon speech writer who has some not so nice things to say during the Deep Throat thing a few weeks back?

The late, great, Jason Robards and Diana Ross. Ms. Ross was the hit of graduation day...wore an outrageous hat and everyone was gawking...ah, 1997, those were the days...

I didn't speak with Ben. I'll have to pass the question along. I have a feeling he was fairly normal -- well, as normal as a discussion of German Opera can be. That's a lot of Wagner, though, so I'm sure some violent and nationalistic tendencies came out.
