This is extremely impressive and I really hope that we can see something like this become a reality in the next 10-15 years. I'm sure there are a ton of people who would love to donate money in order to get McDonough looking like that!!! www.hgaarch.com/projects/college/georgtownmp1.htm

Well, the page isnt working right now for some reason. For now you can still see a very small pic in the top right, directly over the MSF plans. Very weird that only this link stopped working all of a sudden though. www.hgaarch.com/projects/menu_college.htm

Looking at it again, I like what I see and I love the objectives, but I wonder where people are going to park? The Quad ramp isn't big enough to support an arena by itself and they seem to have eliminated the McDonough lot.

Seriously, how are you able to view it? I can't even see the thumb nail image. There is just a blank square...

Can somebody that can see it please post the pic elsewhere? Apparently only some of us can see it! Kind of like my imaginary friend Roger. Roger, can you say hi to everyone out there in HoyaLand?

Ok, after posting that they have now taken down the thumbnail pic as well.
Is it possible that GU admin contacted them and asked them to take the pics off once this hit the boards? Because that's what it sure seems like to me. Ahhhh!!!
EDIT:I would have to agree with Hilltopper2000's theory from 37th and 0:
"If I had to guess, I think there are people in McDonough who didn't want these plans getting out. It makes sense as this is a massive facility that would take at least 5 years of fundraising, not to mention the town-gown implications. Around 3 today there was probably a frantical call to the architectural firm that posted the graphics. I wish I had saved a copy of the jpeg. That doesn't mean that we as alumni shouldn't remember that such a facility has been planned and could be built! Let's keep the pressure up. "

Ok, for whatever reason, my computer archived it. So I just saved it. Now how do I post it here?

Thanks for the copy TBird. I think we just need to pass it on to Nodak now, because he is highly skilled in posting web images.

I am just seeing the two pics of the proposed MSF that have been available on GUHoyas.com for a long time now. How is this new information?

Buffalo, the Athletics master plan pics have been removed from the page, as Im sure you'll realize after reading the rest of the thread. See that black spot in the upper right corner, it used to be there. By the time I post this though that black spot will probably be gone.

Why did they move the football field off Yates? Is this supposed to be at all accurate?

The football team has been playing on Harbin field now for years now. (3? 4?) If you don't know where Harbin Field is, it would be in at about 600 feet dead center field if the baseball field still existed. Tthat is where the new football/lax stadium is going- this is the only part of the whole plan that is currently moving forward, with a good chunk of the money in hand already. Now can someone please tell those of us who came late what EXACTLY was taken off the site? the football stadium pics are not new to anyone on thia board. What else did we miss?

haha, the football field has already been off of Yates (Kehoe) and on Harbin for at least the past 2 years. Plus, I dont think you could build a stadium on top of Yates, but maybe.

An athletics facilities master plan pic that including a magnificent McDonough Arena that would be a truly amazing home court for our teams.

An athletics facilities master plan pic that including a magnificent McDonough Arena that would be a truly amazing home court for our teams. Notice in the pic how some of the seats are practically on top of the court. Now, this thing may not be to scale, but that would be great. Another thing I would suggest is some sort of metal roof (tin, maybe) that would absolutely turn the thing into a noise chamber.
