You're absolutely right about the FB. His name is Brad Terron and he is VERY underrated.

I would say any talented player at any position would fit in with the team very well. You can never have too many good players.

Georgetown absolutely needs RB's in this class.
For a run-dominant team to average 117 yards a game is not just coaching (though some of it). Georgetown did not have the combination of bulk and speed and when Houghton got hurt, there was Van Fleet and not much else.
One of the ongoing themes in the PL era has been the lack of consistency at RB. None of the RB's of this decade (incl. Sims, Slayton, Sarin, Carter, Davis, etc.) were able to post strong numbers in consecutive seasons foir a variety of reasons. Every year seems a new challenge, and Houghton can't do it alone.
Maybe things are just quiet on the recruiting front, but I am concerned the record is steadily working against the ability to compete for these players. What was the last impact recruit Georgetown got, and when is Georgetown going to land the next one?

Last impact recruit: Alondzo Turner?

Hill may be a visitor to GU in Jan. I guarantee you he would be an impact player from day one!

Solid player, yes. Impact player from day one, no. There are at least 4 backs on the roster right now that this kid would not play over.

Just want to clarify, may have came off a little too negative there. Hed be a great get for the hoyas but dont go expecting the kid to be PL freshman of the year or anything.

and when Houghton got hurt, there was Van Fleet and not much else. While I agree with DFW's observations and I am a big fan of Charlie Houghton, it's ironic that Houghton did not play in the lone victory this season. In fact Alex Carroll (F) looked excellent that game.

Will Kelly be playing freshman over upper classmen this year , as juniors were his recruits?? If the freshmen can win, absolutely. Year 3 is a critical time for this or any coaching staff to show progress and given how this team has been performing over the past two years, the best players should be playing regardless of class.

Has he made a commitment, or has Georgetown been cut from his ongoing list?

No, he hasn't committed anywhere yet. He still has D-1 offers from Army, Air Force, and Dartmouth. As a matter of fact, one of te MWC teams is talking offer/official visit. It's just not going to work out with GU.

Navy is a quality program and I'm sure he'll do very well there.

Having footage of that win against ND probably didn't hurt.
