I hate to hear that a lot of opposing fans will be at the opening of our new field. I can accept no home advantage in hoops because in that case we need to fill a 20,000 seat arena. But in football? We should fill every seat. I guess the question is how we do that. The answer, I think, is to build up a good atmosphere with tailgating and the other activities that make a home football game a big event, and, even more importantly, by WINNING.

and, even more importantly, by WINNING. Absolutely right! All the other trappings help, but only if the team is worth watching. I hope the Holy Cross debacle turns into just a bad memory. This game has now become very important in determining what kind of season this team will have.

I hope Holy Cross goes undefeated this year now that our game is over. It'll sure help to make us look better. Also, Pop did you hear any reasons why the back-up QB quit? I know he's an adult and gets to make his own decisions but to me adversity is a character builder. You just don't quit when things don't go your way. If that's my kid I first reason and explain, and if that doesn't work, I beat the heck out of him and tell him don't go out for the team next year but you're not quitting anything. (provided I still have the ability to beat the heck out of him)

I would be surprised if Castergine actually starts at TE on Saturday - he has been in a walking cast, and unable to practice, all week. Just a head's up.
And check THE HOYA tomorrow for the details about Allan quitting - his reason will surprise you.

Its just important that we get a large, VOCAL crowd. Im sick of the wine and cheese crowd that wont start cheers. Hoya Blue is ding its best to drum up support and we'll be trying to make the atmosphere at the game great as well.
I'm really looking forward to it, it should be a lot of fun. EVERYONE BE LOUD AND GIVE THIS TEAM A HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE!!!

I heard from a source that Brown is bringing its band to Harbin as well. It's time to get our game faces on, boys... we must protect this (new) house!

Yeah. Our band will be there. We'll have to do pots and spoons if Brown's starts playing. Banging the pots with an odd rhythm may throw them off.
