I haven't been around here at all during football season.
What was the word on Nick Cangelosi this year during practice and the season?
Is he still on the team? Is there still a chance he tries to walk-on for hoops at some point?

As far as game-time goes, we really didn't see too much of Cangelosi during the season. He wasn't spectacular during his brief appearances, but neither was the offense as a whole, so he remains mostly an unknown quantity at this point. I didn't hear anything about how he was doing in practice.
As for hoops, the season's already under way, and I don't recall seeing him on the roster. I think the hoops squad will be going forward without him.

Strictly from a football perspective, the Hoyas may be in good shape next fall. Both Cangelosi and Allan are excellent athletes who now have had a year under OC Uzelac. From what I understand, Keith Allan had clearly won the starting job, but his preseason injury never healed and we did not get to see what Coach Uzelac saw to make him the #1 QB. Then add Nick Cangelosi with the talent that prompted UNC to recruit him and we just might be set for a while at QB. Of course I'm a classic optimist...

lbpop as usual you are very optimistic, on the bright side. I wish everyone player and parent a very happy and safe Holiday. Cangelosi from what I have been told is not a Basketball candidate as Allan who has baseball potential having numerous Pro Scouts and colleges contact him during highschool. What the Hoyas need is a talented offensive line, like our Defense. This is the only way the Hoyas will impact the Patriot League. In high school I'm sure both Qb'S excelled because they were more talented than the other schools players. Now they are up in the Patriot league and whats in front of you on the opposing team is the cream of the crop. The coaches are out recruiting I hope the effort is on Lineman, receivers and backs. I agree with you QB is talented enough to make the HOYA's a winner. Give him protection and some good hands to throw at and we will be a contender. I have been told that Allan's high ankle sprain is fully healed and he is full time in the work out room. Also like the rest, lets get the field going for the fans and players. That alone will impact like a few good recruits.

I sure agree with you, Wolf. A good O line can make an average QB look good and I think these guys are much better than that. I would also like to see our RBs cross the line of scrimmage cleanly more often than this season. Kim is a warrior, but it took its toll.
Just to prove that I don't always wear rose colored glasses, I would say that the O line was my biggest disappointment this season. They were experienced and included a couple of captains. I guess the injury bug really hurt the Hoyas there. I know there are a couple of promising underclassmen (Warring, in particular), so I'm really looking forward to spring ball.
