Who will our wins come against? Any thoughts?

I really have no idea but I would hope that we would at least have a chance against VMI, Monmouth, Davidson, and Holy Cross and possibly win 2 of those games.
I just want to see some improvement by the offense and special teams, because the defense has been very impressive and its unfortunate that they haven't gotten any help.
Right now our best chance of scoring is through the defense (2 interception returns for touchdowns and a fumble recovery at the 2 last game). That is awesome but the offense needs to put some points on the board if we are going to win any more games this season.
Also, giving up 2 kick returns is devastating, as well as missing extra points that put you in a catchup situation that almost always bites you in the ass in the end.

I see 3 more wins:
VMI (0-5) loses a touchdown. It's homecoming. Hoyas 21-14
Monmouth- Joke loss last year. Won't happen again. We wont have an offense TD but we we will win by 10. Maybe 13-3 win.
Davidson- Steamroll. 21-0 victory.
Holy Cross is better than they have played. They have a good O, they lack a D-Line, but that shouldnt matter against us. We lose by 35-17.

Good analysis. If we can manage 3 more wins out of this season I'll be satisfied, Obviously it will still be a big dissapointment but considering the situation we're in right now I would be happy with a 4-7 record.

I hope there are three more wins in the Hoyas' future, but Holy Cross was impressive yesterday and Monmouth looks tough. This kind of stuff can be misleading, but Duquesne waxed Georgtown, Robert Morris crushed Duquesene and Monmouth defeated Robert Morris. I also saw last year's heartbreaker with Monmouth. My impression was that the only offense the Hoyas had that day was Turner and McArdle. Hmmm.
The defense simply cannot be counted on to score and until the offense starts to move the ball, anyone can beat this Georgetown team. It's not just the time of possession--the field position battle consistently puts them in a hole. I still believe there's enough talent to move the ball. I just hope I'm not imagining it.

I think that we can beat VMI this week, but it will be close. Should we expect an announcement about the QB situation sometime this week?

I have no idea if or when we'll hear anything but I really hope that Cangelosi or Crawford get a shot, and apparently most of us on this board agree on that considering the results so far in the poll.

Yeah, my vote is with Cangelosi, though I wouldn't say we should totally give up on Allan long term, because despite his horrible play, he is a good athlete. I know thats an overly repeated thing , but if he doesnt end up at QB and Cangelosi becomes the established starter I hope we can find a place for him where he can use his altheticism (or move back to punter where, from what I read, he was quite good).

I definitely don't think we should give up on Allan completely, but he shouldnt be playing right now. At this point he just isnt getting it done but if he can get things in order and prove himself somewhere down the road then let him play, even if its not at QB.

Yeah, I don't think there's any question that Allen should not be playing right now. I have a question for you, GUHoya2007, since you go to Georgetown. I am still in high school and want to make a visit to Georgetown and hopefully also go to a football game, but the problem is my own football season doesnt end (at the earliest) until early November. Will classes still be in session on November 19 before the Holy Cross game? I'm not sure when Thanksgiving is and I wanted to make sure school would still be in session if I made the trip up.

Yeah, class will still be in session. Thanksgiving break starts on Wednesday November 24th.

Thanks, hopefully the Hoyas will be able to pull of the win that week.
