There are actually 3 other QB's on the roster as well, but I figure these are the only 3 realistic options.

and to be honest, there are only two options. Crawford or Cangelosi.

I agree, I would start Cangelosi just to see if he has anything and if he can't produce I would put Crawford in. We need to at least pick up a few wins this season and not completely embarrass ourselves.

Cangelosi should start.

Ok, there we go, before there was just your post but no vote. Apparently you've voted now.

Crawford. Completed 5 of 13 passes for 89 yards in the little he played today. If they decide to prepare for the future at the expense of this year, they should go with whoever they think has the brightest future between Cangelosi and the two freshman. As long as Keith Allan never sees the field again I have no problem with the choice, he is awful.

I think Cangelosi and then Crawford. I am surprised they stayed with Allen as long as they did.

We have seen Uzelac adapt his system to his players at his past jobs. What do you all think the chance of a new offense, if not this year, than next spring, is? Because we may simply not have the personnel to run Coach U's offense right now, and would be better served trying a more balanced attack.

I have no idea what the actually chances are, but I sure hope that they implement a new offense because this sure isn't working.
The only way I could see this kind of an offense working is if Zo Turner or someone like him was the QB. With the guys we have we need to start passing the ball, and that means Cangelosi or Crawford.

does Turner still attend Georgetown and has there been any talk of him returning to the team in the spring?

I know that he attends Georgetown because I see him almost every day but I have no idea if there is any talk about him returning to the team.

Typically, I believe in decisions like this being made solely based on the success of the team, present and future. However, because there is no clear cut candidate, I cast my vote with a little sentimentality. This senior class was the first recruited to compete in the Patriot League. Four years ago they had every reason to believe that by now they would be competing for the championship and a playoff berth. Saturday's game probably brought home the realization, that this would be another year (their last year) when that hope would not be realized. Unlike IA players, these young men are not training for a career in the NFL. This senior class has just a few more organized football games to play before they begin their lives in the "real world".
If it were obvious to me that Allan or Cangelosi gave this team the best chance to win, I would be totally in favor of their starting. Well, Keith Allan has had several chances and while his talent is apparent, he may need a little more time to develop. Playing under the increased pressure that this losing streak has created will not likely help...in fact, I think it may be damaging. He has two more years and who knows, he may just blossom this spring or next summer in pre-season.
Nick Cangelosi has three more years of eligibility and abundant talent, as well. Apparently this staff does not think he is ready and while I tend to disagree, I will defer to them. Nick's opportunity will come this spring when he and Allan compete one on one. I don't want to come off too "sappy", but if it's not an obvious decision and you've got a senior who while not as athletic, seems much more comfortable leading the team than the other two candidates, I want to see him get the chance to change the momentum and finish his career as a winner.
Ultimately, my guess is that Nick Cangelosi will be the QB over the next three years. However, if we want to win now, we need some leadership on the field and we owe Crawford his last shot. I know I'm sounding like a "wimp" and Crawford is not my favorite among the three, but I would like to see what he can do against someone other than St. Francis.
I just proof read this post and can hardly believe I wrote it, but there it is. I guess I'm having a fatherly moment.

I think you make a very good point and I would have to assume that there is a strong possibility that Crawford will get a chance to do so.
