Well, at the end of the first week of pre-season practice, have any of you had a chance to stop by and see how the boys are doing? Everyone looked like they were in very good shape during the BBQ...

Probably a bit early to judge since so much of the past few days has been devoted to testing. I did, however, confirm that practices are open and visitors are encouraged. My guess is that this policy will help generate greater interest in the program. I should be dropping by in a week or two. Go Hoyas!

Well, I guess we now have a better idea why Turner wasn't mentioned in the offensive write-up on guhoyas.com. Too bad; I thought he was poised to be a real contributor, even if at a position other than QB.

With regard to the scrimmage, my guess is that it will be an intra-squad event much like the spring game. I would like to know for sure and to know the time it will be held.
On another note, the news about Turner seems to fit well with my impression that the team is much deeper this year. Improving upper classmen, some solid transfers and a good class of 2008 seem to have had an impact already.
