Hendrix is a load so play alot of zone and dare them to make jump shots.

A quick check of their website reveals that they are not named Fairfield and we aren't likely to wear white jerseys - so I feel confident about this game.

I'll admit, I didn't realize how mediocre Alabama was until just now.
2-2 in their last 4 with two squeaker wins at home against Southern Miss (who doesn't have a D-1 win) and Southeastern Louisiana. Wow, that doesn't seem particularly good.

They're just not very good without steele. I know they did pretty poorly when he didn't play last year. I think our inside game can shut down hendrix, and no one else on that team scares me. If we play the way we can i'm not worried about anyone, it's when we don't play well that worries me.

Based on those scores, it looks like they'll want to run and shoot alot. For those of you who have seen them, can they settle in a zone/half court offense?
We all know that we can still use our offense on the run, but will we run with them?
I'm thinking this team looks a lot like Vandy last year, we shall see which Vandy game we shall see in Birmingham

If this was a normal concussion and he doesn't have a history, I'd imagine he'll likely play.

regardless of their track record, a big conference squad on the road is always a tricky test. We get this one and we are looking at 8-0 heading to Memphis.

They run alot of motion, which will ultimately mean Hendrix running baseline then diving on the block, either right or left. He is fundamentally sound, so RH will have to be too and not get cheapies. Like I said, zone, zone and more zone. They have athletes and will probably be up for this one. They are young in the backcourt, so their discipline will be tested. Lastly, J Wally and Rico Pickett are from rival high schools here in north alabama, but 4 years apart. J Wally is the better player, but Rico is the better athlete. coaching matchup favors III. Gottfried is a top recruiter, but can't coach, IMO.

Based on what I can make out, I have to agree with lic. If we make FT, play tough D, rebound and get the ball to Roy......I'll be pretty happy. Hopefully we have a good shooting night from outside too and then the game should take care of itself. Of course this is the case for pretty much all of our games. There isn't really a team out there that scares me when we are playing our game the way we can. By the looks of Alabama so far this year, we can even be missing a couple of elements and probably still win......but I'd rather not take any chances. Looking forward to this game as the first one I can watch on "real TV" (not a CSTV Internet feed) and it will hopefully give me one of my best birthday presents of the day!!

Looking at the box scores of Alabama's 6 games the majority of their scoring comes from their front court:
vs. Troy: 64% vs. Mercer: 70% vs. Belmont: 84% vs. Southern Miss: 81% vs. Texas AM : 83% vs. SE Louisiana: 83%
