At the Carrier Done nontheless. UMASS has a nice little squad, actually see them as sleepers in the A10 but giving up 107 to them in regulation, OUCH. I'm glad their "Diaper Dandies" can score.

Cuse doesn't get back on defense--and everyone tries to "leak" out and get up into the frontcourt to run. Paul Harris thinks he's a creator, Devendork needs the ball to be an effective player because he's not a great shooter and plays no defense, and Greene is out to prove he's a SF and not a college PF--which is where Cuse needs him to be in order to be a better team. Flynn is a great talent--but it'll be interesting to see how he adjusts when facing teams that will not let him drive for uncontested layups and force him to hoist jumpers. As expected--his lack of size kills their zone defense as well--you can throw over him and Cheddar Bob--where Cuse usually has an assortment of long perimeter defensive guys--and with Cheddar, Flynn, Harris, and Scoop "I can't handle the ball" Jardine---it's easy to move the ball and see gaps in the zone--and with Greene not willing to mix it up--it leaves the lone big--to take on everyone. That will change next year--with return of Rautins, and incoming wing forward recruits--but this year--that zone will be easy to get good looks and rebound against, not to mention the easy hoops you'll see teams get from Cuse not balancing the floor.

Looks like Mr. Magoo better refine his 2-3 zone. Umass scores 107 in regulation !!! Life is Good life is good? every conference loss like this to a non conference foe, has a direct effect on our individual and conference rpi. this is not a good thing. BE teams have been getting consistently beat all season long by non conference opponents

As I think was mentioned in a previous thread, RPI will not be as important for this squad this year is they do as well as everyone expects. RPI matters less for the top seeds than it does for those closer to the bubble.

Whenever Cuse loses its good, I dont care about the RPI. I'll root for the rest of the Big East to get wins, but never for Cuse.

RPI matters less for the top seeds than it does for those closer to the bubble. i want a #1 seed this year, and a soft conference rpi will have a DIRECT impact on that. BE teams have been getting slaughtered left and right. the argument will be made that we did not beat anyone during the conference season so we do not deserve a top seed. the memphis game is monumental!
