As many of you know, Andrew Campbell (SFS '06) qualified last month to represent the United States in the Olympics, sailing the Laser class, which is a one-man boat.
The U.S. Sailing Team isn't well funded, and much of the fundraising onus is put on the individual athletes. In order to compete against athletes from well funded teams (Britain is fully funded through the state lottery), Andrew has set a goal of raising $75,000 for the year leading up to the Olympics. This is very difficult, but every little bit helps.
Anyway, several of us are auctioning off our block of 4 tickets to this Saturday's game against Fairfield. Part of the YA section, the tickets are really good: Section 104, Row L. All proceeds of the auction will go directly to Andrew's Olympic campaign.
This is a very good time to donate to Andrew's campaign, as he will be honored by Georgetown during a TV timeout during the game (so make sure to look for him at the game). In addition, make sure to come to Gordon Biersch directly following the game, where Andrew will discuss his campaign goals. After the weekend, the real training regimen of the campaign begins, as Andrew will be off to Australia to compete in their summer circuit for three months.
As requested by the administrators of the board, auction particulars are posted on the ticket sub-board:

For various reasons, I wasn't able to post this before today, so there isn't much time for this auction. In addition, I know that many of you already have tickets for the game. Still, it would be really great if people could support this auction, as it directly benefits a Georgetown alum and, by not too great of an extension, Georgetown University itself.
Even if you have tickets, you might want to improve your seats. Even if you have a student ticket, you might want to guarantee awesome lower bowl tickets. Even if you are satisfied with your seats, you can tell your friends to bid. Even if none of the above applies to you, you can bid anyway just to support Andrew and the Hoyas.

Much thanks to the mods for letting this happen and for tacking the thread.
