Underclassmen can't sign now, they can only give a verbal. . Ha, ha. I love the enthusiasm by folks but you would think they'd know that by now. Too funny.

I personally don't see the humor it in MCIguy... its somewhat random rule that someone can verbal and not sign an LOI until mid-November of their senior year. But what's so funny? ... I mean really. I certainly don't think its funny to ridicule other posters. But if you want to play that game.. unless you are employed by MCI - I personally find humor in the fact that you have an outdated screen name.... !! Time to get with the times my friend.

Hey, all this talk about school shoe affiliations is new to me... is Georgetown a nike school?
I mean, I'm looking around Lauinger right now and a lot of the g'town shirts have swooshes on them, but I don't know if there's any connection there...

God, this is even more funny than the post I was actually laughing at. Sorry Mr Sensitive 63 Posts but if someone is going to be on a college basketball board talking about anticipating a very soon signature of a junior high school player I find that humorous and adorable...in a puppy-dog sort of way. Obviously some of you guys are pretty green on this as I once was. And if someone had kidded me about it when I was first starting off you can sure bet I would not have taken any offense because I would have had enough common sense to know it wasn't meant in any malicious way. (whoever took my line as a personal slam probably cries when he watches "Titanic" wit his girlfriend). Truth of the matter is it has been brought up numerous times already that only seniors can sign a letter of intent, but some people haven't had a chance to catch on yet. Hey, that's fine. But its pretty darn funny too. And unless you are willing to pay me for a new copyright fee I will hang on to my good ol' screen name for awhile. Ha!

Who didn't cry when Old Yeller died? Considering that most people first see that when they are about five... you'd have to be some kind of monster.

Hell, I practically cheered when I thought ET died. Creepy, little alien.
Does that make me mean?

What's random about the rule? I don't get the point of your post. And you're really going to criticize someone when you have the oh-so-imaginative screen name of blueandgray. Way to go out on a limb there... MCI's seen more, and forgotten more, about GU basketball and local hoops that most people on this board.

I almost cried during Titanic...because it was so hard to listen to. Turned it off halfway through. Now Charlotte's Web, that was a sad movie. Didn't care about Wilbur - he was a whiny do-nothing who should have been turned into scrapple. But Charlotte actually was a productive member of the society, and should have lived. Not a movie for kids, IMO.

It looked as if he kicked the bucket at first. But then...in typical Hollywood family-film mode...he came back to life. Please.

When MCI forgets, he can just consult the multimedia archive. He must have some gems on microfiche. Actually for the past few weeks I have been transferring some of my taped Hoya-related interviews and post game reports (from the local news to the old John Thompson Show on Channel 5 to ESPN to Charlie Rose, etc) of the past 18 years from video tape to a single DVD. I recently found a few from '92 when JT was being interviewed over his coup of getting Othella Harrington (O's high school game highlights included). It will be nice to include the Comcast clip of Greg Monroe's signing right next to it. It'll probably take me up through January to find all the stuff I collected but its going to be a swell DVD once I do.

Hell, I practically cheered when I thought ET died. Creepy, little alien. Does that make me mean? I don't know, bro -- you might be a serial killer in the making.... And, yes, I'm a wuss -- Titanic had me treadin' water. Hell, I'm so bad I can remember crying as kid when I saw Liz Taylor dying in the snow in The Last Time I Saw Paris. Anybody relate to that? Or am I The Hoya Weakling?
