Wow. Those guys really go out on a limb with their picks. ANd I can't believe none of these clowns, none, picked the Hoyas as national champs. Clowns.

Let's wait and see if we get any National Championship votes once the brackets are being filled in.
I wonder how many of these guys will have the same pick.

Gosh, I'm sorry all those Carolina dreams from last year got ruined. Florida was an easy pick last year. They didn't do much better outside of picking that one, so I'm pretty glad that Georgetown appears on only a few of this year's predictions.

Perhaps Jay's love for Georgetown in the last couple of years had more to do with his well-documented "man-crush" on Jeff Green than the rest of the team (tongue-somewhat-in-cheek). We are ranked 5th overall in the polls, so I guess that would technically put us at the outside looking in on the final 4 (at least from a pre-season prognostication perspective). I think Gottlieb is just trying to hex us by picking us, since we know how a lot of his picks have panned out in the past...

I like how this year they left out the place for the "experts" to pick the All-Americans and National Player of the Year, seeing how well that part went last year.
Dominic James?

I like that pick of Alabama by Schlabach. A first round exit in the NIT is almost a Final Four appearance. Of course, at least he went out on a limb with his picks. He picked us this year, so let's hope we are not the Crimson Tide of the 2007-08 season.

Good for Gottlieb. When you're being run out of town on a rail, get out front and call it a parade. Consider the Hoyas Dougie's baton.

Thanks to whoever sent the link from last year. This just proves that the experts may be half right, but obviously can't predict the entire final four. Every team they picked, including us will probably be a top 2 seed in march. last year was one of only a few where all of the teams were top 2 seeds, but its definitely not a likely outcome. I think we have a great chance of advancing in this tournament because our coach and our players don't panic. Just like we wondered aloud last year, we will wonder aloud this year about who will step up and make the game winning shot, but both Jon (NC) and Roy (ND a few years a go) have shown that they are capable. I can't wait till saturday!!! Go Hoyas!!!

Either way, picking a National champion that doesn't come out of your final four is a bold strategy. Let's see how it works out. On the serious side, maybe he's hedging his bets. Although it's almost certainly a mistake.

UT better get better defending, especially in the post, or they won't make it out of their conference tourney. No way they make the FF.
