That's about right. Can't wait to play them at the end of the season.

Reading that article, I got sick to my stomach and puked all over the place. Something about the name "Tom Crean" I think...

Huh. Not only did Georgetown win the Big East Championship last year, but apparently, the Hoyas also took home the "BIG EAST Championship Presented by Aeropostale." Why isn't Roy Hibbert the American Eagle Outfitters BIG EAST Pre-Season Player of the Year?

2007-08 Preseason Co-Rookies of the Year Donte’ Greene, Syracuse Jonny Flynn, Syracuse
Seems like the 'Cuse has the pre-season rookies of the year every year - from Carmelo(?) to Paul Harris to these guys. Devendorf too?

Do they have the breakdown by coach on who voted what?
The only two obvious ones are JTIII voted UL as #1 and Pitino voted for us

I think ND has a legit beef at #9. Russell Carter is a big loss, but the backcourt combination of Tory Jackson's quickness and passing and MacAlarney's shooting is excellent. Kurz is an underrated, do it all type and Harangody, while useless against Roy, can play with quite a few BE "big men."

OK, let's be honest. When Jon was a Freshman, did anyone ever think he would make a BIG EAST First Team? Even a pre-season one?
Congratulations to Jon Wallace! There is no steadier, more poised and more accurate guard in the league. Right now I have a picture in my mind of that spin move in the lane v. Duke a couple years back! Ooops, the picture just shifted to a 3 Pt. shot v. UNC with 30 seconds to go!
Great Work by a former WALK ON!!!

Oh, and BTW. Has anyone seen Ignatius lately? Give Ignatius a break. He can't always be right.

Now make it BE First Team at the end of the season.

Devendorf too? That's fine as long as we have the co-ROYs at the end of the year in Austin and Chris.

Can anyone explain to me how the point totals work? I assumed it was 15 points for a 1st place vote, 14 for a 2nd place vote, all the way down to 1 point for a last place vote. However, if that's the system, a lot of the coaches who didn't pick us #1 didn't pick us at #2 either.

Ever since then, I love JW and wondered why everybody didn't think he was the best since sliced bread. ;D

To be fair - Jon wasn't a true walk on. JT III recruited him to come to princeton, then when JT III made the switch and he tried to get Jon to come with him. And I guess with timing and various other things (probably a scholarship thing) Jon was listed as a walk on at first.
I 'm not trying to take anything away from JW - just saying it wasn't like he was playing in Yates one day, tried out for the team and started every game of his career.
I remember the spin move on Duke because I feel like the announcers (pro Duke OBVIOUSLY) were talking about how unathletic Jon was, then he pulled that move and they fell silent. I also remember the UNC shot, and remember thinking that UNLIKE years past we got a shot for our best shooter WITHIN the flow of the offence (unlike Braswell dribbling at the top of the key until there was no time left and then shotting a fade away 30 fter.)
I can't wait for this season.

It is truly amazing what a career Jon Wallace has carved out for himself here. I still love watching the replay of that 3-pointer against NC... the little hush of silence right before the ball hit the net, and the explosion of noise as it went through. One of the biggest shots in Hoya history.

My guess is Boheim!

I remember the spin move on Duke because I feel like the announcers (pro Duke OBVIOUSLY) were talking about how unathletic Jon was, then he pulled that move and they fell silent. If you're talking about Lundquist and Packer, it was almost exactly the opposite. Not to go all MCIGuy on you, but Lundquist yelled "Oh beautiful! Wow!" on that play, before Packer (showing his Duke bias) talked about how Wallace pulled a move on Dockery that Dockery normally uses (I have it on my laptop here at work).
