www.cstv.com/chat/101507aaa.htmlA couple Hoya items of note: Ernie (New York, NY): With Monroe committing to the Hoyas this weekend, have you heard anything about Woolridge following him? Also, have you heard anything about Riley, Armwood, Vinson and Thompson from the Class of 2009? Thanks. Van Coleman: I know they had a tremendous group in. My source in DC tells me there's going to be commitments coming in the near future but he didn't have specific names. I think Woolridge will take another one or two visits but the Hoyas surely made strong in-roads there. The younger kids is where I think a verbal may come from. ****** james (lake forest): what about kyle rowley? Van Coleman: The 7-footer has a lot of interest and is only about 210 pounds, so a lot of people will want to watch him this season and the spring. (SEE NOTE at End of Chat). ***** Brendan (New York, NY): What kind of shot do the Hoyas have at Karron Johnson? Thanks, Van. Van Coleman: I think they're going to have a good shot but his list is pretty wide open and would be surprised if he makes an early decision. -------------------- His take on Woolridge is probably superseded by the articles/interviews posted today, but interesting thoughts nonetheless.

I don't see Karron Johnson on the Recruiting thread: Is he an '09 ? Is he a SF ? Thanks...
Also - can anyone tell us what Harvey T. was ranked when the Hoyas got him? Again, thanks...

Also - can anyone tell us what Harvey T. was ranked when the Hoyas got him? Again, thanks... Anywhere from 41 to 91. RSCI had him at 63. That's where Harvey ended up. There was a ton of excitement around him, though, because before his senior year at least one publication had him Top 20. Then he was declared ineligible and didn't play all senior year. I don't think he developed either. He was a run and jump athlete with a penchant for fouls and three pointers. He needed a coach to teach him skills and he needed to stay out of trouble. Neither ever happened.
