Who doesn't want me in their section? I love to yell "BALLS[tate]" during every game.

I think the perfect fan is “the 12th man” (occasionally bringing out his/her inner-“drunk kid”) dancing like “night at the roxbury” annoying like “the cheerleader” sitting next to “the expert,” and yelling at the “the clueless girl,” “the tag-along,” and most-feverishly at “the enemy at the gate." I try to embody this ideal at every game - sometimes all I get right is the sweat stains...

Jeff Green's Mom We've got JerseyHoya's "LONG" and "SHORT" yells though. (If you sit anywhere near the front of 118, you know what I mean).

A few others, specific to non-student sections.
1. Bet Guy: Seems oddly distracted during twenty point routs of lower-division competition. Wants the Hoyas to win, but by less than seven. Occasionally shows up limping.
Useful for: Giving you the up-to-the minute line for the game.
2. Friend of the Enemy: Friend with people who have a variety of rooting interests and has two tickets. Kind enough to bring the person from West Virginia to the WVU game and the die-hard Orange fan to the Syracuse game, as opposed to doing something useful like giving them to poor Hoya fans.
Useful for: Channeling your annoyance at one person near you when Georgetown is losing, making you feel like a superior fan.
3. Lech: Relatively quiet. Wears a trenchcoat. Perks up whenever the cheerleaders come out or the videoscreen shows college fans.
Useful for: Feeling superior, emphasizing to your significant other that she stay home so you can make a fool of yourself without her reining you in.
4. New Mom 'n Dad: Bring little Joe or Jane to games. Adorable cheerleader outfits or "GU Class of 2028" encouraged.
Useful for: Additional opportunities to get on the video screen, ensuring Georgetown's fan base continues right until the machines take over.
5. Big-Money Donor: Look vaguely like the people in a Lexus commercial. May show an interest in the actual game. If not, they think that "Red Storm" is a highly-rated hedge fund.
Useful for: Ensuring competitiveness now, providing someone to laugh at as hopelessly out of touch, useful role model for when you're wearing that same sweater vest in twenty years.
6. Insane fan: Self-explanatory
Useful for: feeling that you're "not that crazy fan" and explaining as such to your significant other, finding out why Pitt-South Florida matters for the Big East's fifth tiebreaker, learning colorful insults relating to Villanova's third-string guard having spent six years at the American School of Budapest, getting on the videoscreen, smiling when you think about how cool it would be to paint your face and hold up an amusing sign.
