He was at the game last night, but as a spectator. He seemed relaxed and fit.

He's supposedly not playing for precautionary rasons having to do with the injury he played with during the tournament.

I have a source with inside information that has informed me that Dajuan Summers had surgery at the end of the school year on his ankle, which they discovered was at least partially dislocated at the end of the season. The injury was suffered in the last part of the season, he played through it, then tried to give it time to heal on its own, it didn't, so they did surgery. He is still recovering from, which is why Dajuan isn't playing in the Kenner League or whatever.
I post this cause, while posters have noted he is recovering from an injury, I hadn't seen anyone state that DaJuan actually had surgery. Sorry if this info had already been posted.

I think I saw someone mention him having surgery. But like I said, I think. But just imagine when it heals fully. The damage he did in March on a bum ankle is crazy.

Insert "hanging source" joke here.
But yeah. If he played like he did on an ankle that required post-season surgery, then I really think there is validity to the argument that he can surpass Jeff at some point in his Hoya career. From the Kenner reports about Macklin's development and Ewing's always energetic dominance, it sounds like our front will be just fine.

His ankle looked pretty good, suspended a couple of feet over Tyler Hansborough's prone body one afternoon in late March.

hoyaskin got this information via text message I didn't think cell phones worked in the O.R. Wow, hoyaskin, your source must be good... Wow, I really hope he's okay. Does everyone think that playing less will hamper his development, or do you think a large part of the frosh-soph jump is mental in JTIII's system? Dajuan certainly has the physical gifts...he just needs to develop the mental toughness and vision that comes with being a point SF/PF.

I think a large part of the frosh-soph jump is physical strength and the experience of applying lessons learned from live games to a practice regimen. He can still work on all that while rehabbing the ankle.

Also, I've seen him shooting around and dunking before games - so while he isn't playing in Kenner, it seems like he would be able to practice anyway.
