Remarkable athlete. Not likely to be a Hoya, but he's fun to watch.

Also subject of an incredible he said/she said with Lottomatica Roma, the same Italian team Jennings played for... apparently someone allegedly offered Carr $750,000 to play for them. It's all being denied with a representative of the team being quoted as "they would have to pay us $750,000 to sign him"....
Either way, if this kid (or his handlers) is interested in money that quickly then Georgetown might not be his spot.

This kid's handlers/self promoting AAU coach hyped that BS rumor. Carr is type of player that would have zero interest in Georgetown style of play. Fine by me.

Holy crap, 2 minutes on youtube will show you how quick that kid is. And boy can he handle the basketball.
That being said, the thought of him playing in Europe is comical. I know Euro players get labeled as soft here, but their leagues are plenty physical. That kid is tiny and would get tossed around like a rag doll by some Serb who doesn't like being shown up.

I just watched a few of those videos and WOW. Maybe we should get involved with this guy. Someone should tell the staff.
We don't necessarily need an NBA caliber point guard, we just need someone who could be awesome at the college level--and I think that is him. And as a sophomore, there's a good chance that he will grow another few inches...

The staff is aware of him.
He won't be playing at Georgetown.

He's a sophomore but apparently he's 17 already. Might grow still, but he's on track to be a 20 year old college freshman.

No way too small. Plus he has a hard time with larger defenders. Very talented though!

Reading of the alleged shenanigans regarding Carr mentioned above, I would like to quote Obama on this.... "That's not who we are!"

I'm not feeling this dude at all, and it has nothing to do with his "entourage"
Looking at the youtube clip, it's obvious to me that he very rarely wants to simply make a good basketball play. He just wants to break an ankle. There were at least five times on that clip that he had his man after one move, but doubled back with the simple purpose of trying to embarass him.
Secondly, the release point on his jumper his way too low.
Third of all, he acts like a jerk every time he makes a good move. Real immature.
Fourth, while he's a great athlete, I can't see him finishing in the paint amongst the trees in the Big East. He badly needs a mid-range game.
Just for comparison sake because they have similar stature's, He's not a 10th of the player Erving Walker from Florida is. I grew up as a point guard, had a flashy new york handle and all, but the one thing I learned is that you cross over for a purpose, not for B.S. like Carr was. I just don't like his game.....don't think he's nearly as good as he seems to think he is.

You can hate if you want too but he's a 5'6" bundle of excitement who has established a following in Baltimore that is frantic in nature and he has to please his following. Who knows what kind of player he will be after high-school but he's undoubtedly gifted and as far as being immature, kids normally are.

Just a quick question to anyone who may know, why is it that he's not being recruited by GU? Is it grades or is it believed that he is not a major D1 caliber player? The latter I disagree with wholeheartedly, kid is a stud and a future pro. Similar to Nate Robinson, more of a point guard not quite the athlete (but close).
