Where's Derrick Rose when you need him? Here is a write up from the Flying to the Hoop tournament. Would be surprised if he left the midwest. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1178851"JABARI PARKER, SF, SIMEON Bossi's take: When you watch the 6-foot-7 Parker, it's almost impossible to believe that he's only a sophomore. His skill, feel for the game and effort are of the charts. But it is the maturity with which he plays that is borderline astonishing. Watch him operate on the floor and he's got the glide, confidence and approach of a multi-year pro. He's never too high, never too low, just effective and productive. Formerly most effective in the low or high post, Parker has extended his game to the three-point line and improved his athleticism. Duke, Michigan State, Washington, Northwestern, DePaul, Kansas, Illinois and many others have made him a priority early."

Its incredible how acc/duke biased rivals is. With every recruit that lists duke or that duke is thought to be involved with; they are listed first in the write-up. This kid most likely is a Big Ten lean, but of course, since K is involved, they must be mentioned first.
Another example, Hoyas offered Rasheed Saluaimon BEFORE duke, yet it was never mentioned. As soon as duke offered there was a write-up on how duke was now on him.
At least attempt to hide your bias Jerry.

Id, completely agree with the rivals ACC/Duke bias but i think in this case it's legitimate. Duke is everywhere concerning Parker. They have made him their top priority and they had him in for the Maryland/Duke game. Illinois right there too. You can't watch a Simeon game without seeing Jerrance Howard.

I don't doubt that sleepy, but I know for a fact that the Hoyas have been on this kid as long as duke has; maybe not Illinois, but def as long as duke. My point however is that the Hoyas involvement gets little to no mention. Kids read into that type of stuff as you know.

I am not going to get suck into this recruiting chase for a premium player until we have a commitment. MSU and Duke are thought to be ahead of the pack with UK next in the mix (but unlikely if Wiggins reclassifies to '13 and chooses UK). But nice to be listed and you never know what can happen. Strong hunch that Jabari's dad Sonny is a fan of JT II and JT III.

Not very confident here. No reason I'm just not.

No confidence whatsoever but man I love this kids game from limited games I've seen. What a recruiting coup that would be. Make a run next year to the final 4 and who knows! Sigh a man can dream

I still like that top high school players feel like giving a courtesy listing to Georgetown. I don't care what their motives are, but it can easily be interpreted as a sign of respect for the program, its heritage, and its future that so many continue to do it.

SF Hollis signs, #1 SF Jabari lists GU on same day...coincidence. Kids see Hoyas are starting to put wings/combo forwards into the league.

Well, I don't think the Hoyas are in Jabari's top 3 (like I said earlier, that's probably Duke, Michigan State and Kentucky). However, there's no doubt that Hollis signing with the Thunder and Otto getting great feedback from NBA scouts this summer helps. Hope the staff doesn't put too many eggs in this basket (and I'm assuming they won't), but a lot could happen between now and when Jabari actually attends college (K could retire, NCAA could come down on Calipari, Calipari/Izzo could jump to the NBA, etc.).

In the time since NN and now we are in a much much better place to land a top guy.
- Picked up some great recruits one that even recruits for us at the U17 olympics - Hollis got a good deal with the Thunder - Jeff Green - got a good deal with the Celtics - Roy maxing out - perfect example and poster boy for our system. If you want to put in hard work GTown will develop you and get you paid. - Otto proving he's the next great GTown story by showcasing at camps - Air craft carrier game - maybe this won't help recruiting but it can't hurt either
Lets just hope we don't get burned like NN. Cause even though we're not a great fit for a one/done, it would be so awesome to see what this current team could do with a player of Jabari's magnitude.

Don't hold your breath. I don't think Jabari wants to play in a system where he doesn't have as much freedom (as he probably does on his HS team). BUT I could be wrong...
