I guess Patrick can do some coaching. We run really nice stuff for the bigs. Against the Hall he had them driving the ball all the time. Today we ran about five different half court sets. Now the kids made some poor decisions on the press but we gutted it out. And for those projecting this can be a top team next year with some added guard play. Oh by the way, every player on this team has improved a lot this year. Like how about Tre Dickinson? Looked lost early but the last four games has been very good. The future is Blue and Gray

One hell of a half. This ain’t JT3’s team. 44 points at the half. On the road. I don’t think anyone wants to play us now. Now keep fighting for the second half

I like Pickett, but he has a long way to go defensively. Most freshmen do. He has the athleticism to become a solid defender. He had a really tough mark. Mosely or Johnson had to take Rodriguez. The point guards had Carrington. That left him on Powell who is an undersized 2 with a quick shot. Pickett is 6’ 8” so chasing Powell was going to be tough. But Pickett made the most of his advantage on the other end where Powell couldn’t bother his shot.

Marcus Derrickson was a beast of a player. 22 points and 18 rebounds. Pickett was the player we hoped he could become. Like Lappas said get him in the weight room and next year he will be impossible to play. Finally, it broke our way at the end. But also we have to say we got good point guard play for both of them.

I don't understand why coach Ewing didn't put the ball in either Reggie Williams or Michael Jackson hands and let them create especially with Zo and Mutombo underneath ready for offensive rebounds. I'm ready to call it quits on coach Ewing, he's been coach long enough. Don’t apologize for lousy coaching. If you get run, fine. If you flat out hand the game over in last 2 minutes with crap strategy, TOs, braindead guardplay, lousy roster management (Kaleb has no biz on floor down stretch) and pixilated timeout management, it’s not primarily about personnel. It’s about personnel...and a rookie coach who is showing everyone why he didn’t get this opportunity a decade ago. Johnson was on the floor because Derrickson fouled out. Who else would you play. Walker?

I can’t get why everyone on here is trashing Ewing. You all wanted JT3 fired. And you wanted an uptempo style. We got that now. But in game after game the players we have turn the ball over and take the wrong decisions at the end of a game. That’s really not coaching it’s failure to execute at crunch time.

Again failure to see out a late lead. And it mostly down to not having a kid who can get his own shot and/or draw a foul. Why Mosely for the second time in three games is the one throwing up a floating hook at the end of the game is a question that needs asking. But also we out shot them and out rebounded them. They win because they went to the line more often and frankly some of the calls both ways were strange but clearly they benefitted late. Also we still turnnthe ball over too much. And I think I can see improvement that comes with coaching but still too many. We knew this would be a tough season but actually the team has played better than I expected. Tough to have so many close losses

How could people call for Ewing's job after going to OT against the #6 team in the country on the road? Or even in general? This is his first year and he's doing a great job of recruiting and getting this program back to where we should be at. He has players putting all of their effort into the team compared to JT3 having multiple people question his teams' effort. He has a system and developed players well to this point. Let him coach for some time before even thinking about this. amen.

Free throw disparity killed us. X-men getting to the line 42 times to 17 times for Hoyas is crazy. X-men "sold" a lot of fouls where they weren't touched. The refs not understanding what a charge is was crazy (if we don't get two charges need to pull the plug or ease up). Hoyas hit 82% the stripe and X-men 75%, but that difference at looks from the line is crazy. Exactly. We beat them at everything else. But 25 more free throws is insane. If we had eight more FT we win going away. Every defensive stance by us was a block and every defensive non stance by them was a charge. I counted about 5 of these. Now a string point guard would find ways to get Jesse more touches down low in the second half and Pickett and Blair more open looks but the Hoyas were beaten on the line and we have not been called for fouls like that all year.

Proud of the team. Not going to criticize anything. Sure Mosley shouldn’t have fouled Bluett but hard to fault his effort. We out played them, shot better, had more assists and more rebounds. But guess what? They are coached on how to draw calls. Not fouls calls. We were called for 12 more fouls than them. Yet it seemed to me they were the more likely to foul. Marcus was murdered all game with very few calls. So I am proud of the way we played and sad the kids didn’t get the win they deserved

Best half of basketball all year. Bluett is just impossible to stop. But it is a joy to see us play this well.

Had to watch on DVR delay. Pickett showed his potential today. Mosely showed he should run the point right now. And Marcus showed he has brass ONIONS.

It is semantics, then let me change it to the Capital One Arena By the way this was Georgetown's largest margin of defeat since a 33-point loss to Maryland, 104-71, on Dec. 10, 1974 I wonder how many on this board saw that game? Not me.....I was born in 1975....😇 I did. Terrible game but this was worse

For us to be successful tonight one of the outside players has to be hot shooting the 3. It would be marvelous if two did but gotta be at least one. Then the doubles get harder on our bigs. That’s the only real hope.
I have no doubt we will compete and work hard. But they are a very good team with a system that they are all committed to playing. And Brunson is the kind of guard that has killed us for years. Smaller, fast, great handle, and a good shooter who can also get to the rack but will dish the ball if that’s the best option. We do a lot of talking about the Hoyas issues but we haven’t had this type of player since Chris Wright left. And we wouldn’t have had him if he didn’t leave a coaching change at NC State.
But who knows maybe Blair and Johnson start dropping 3s and we win. Go Hoyas

Not much to discuss here. They are a guard heavy team well drilled in their system. Their guards are way better than ours. Our bigs are better than theirs. But it’s hard to be successful when you turn the ball over too much and you don’t hit good looks. Let’s just be content with getting better and hope results begin to emerge. A victory in this one is not likely

Seton Hall has 4 seniors who are good to excellent college players. We have two very good juniors. Turnovers by poor ballhandlers killed us. But we got in good places on the floor and missed good shots. The Hall was very physical inside and got away with a lot but still 3-4 footers should be made at a better rate than 33%. So I hope our bigs learn some lessons and improve that play. As has been noted by everyone we do not have a mid major ball handler never mind a player fit for Big East play. As to coaching, you can see the improvement is many players but Pickett and Walker seem gun shy in games. They get in good places but can’t make shots and when pressed throw the ball away. These are issues that will improve. Finally, that is a ranked team playing at home in a sold out facility so that we gave them a good fight is not something to be upset about.

Probably, but if this kid thought he was good enough to make it at Duke and get playing time, then I am sure he ain’t worried about playing time at either school. We shall see which he picks.

Key to this game is guard play. Theirs are better than ours. If we can contain the guards and minimize turnovers I like the bigs matchup. But we are deservedly underdogs.

Why would a kid from New York chose Indianapolis over DC?
