I am just glad that Ewing is going to do what he thinks is right- win or lose. Not playing Blair could have cost us that game and put some heat on him. He did it anyway. That is what I want from a Georgetown coach.

I believe that Bile plays super fast because the staff has urged him to do so, and is willing to take the good with the bad. Now, no doubt, they would rather him not do some of the crazy things he has done. However, I really get the sense that they want that frantic pace and want Bile to push the action (which sometimes leads to forcing the action).
Consider that Bile is adjusting to the Big East level of play, and how much he has improved, and I think he will be just fine and a huge plus if he is back next year. Let's just calm down and see what happens.

Well said. I am a big fan of Dante Harris and think he will be a huge asset for another three years!

We can win this one, and that would be a nice accomplishment at this point. GO HOYAS!

We do have an example of someone who didn't get PT and is with Texas Arlington now. He sat out a year and this year is getting: 11 min shooting 29% from 3, 1.4 rebs, .3 blocks, 3.5 points a game www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/grayson-carter-1.htmlLooks to me like Ewing was right in his assessment not to give him minutes. Maybe, or maybe he's a poor fit on UTA, too. Here's the rundown as of this week of the Georgetown transfers. Most are doing well, a few are not. Mac McClung: Leads Texas tech in scoring (16.9 ppg), 42% FG, 33% from three. Myron Gardner: Leads South Plains CC in scoring (14.8 ppg). 48% FG, 47% from three. James Akinjo: Leads Arizona in scoring (14.8 ppg), 37% FG, 38% from three. Galen Alexander: 3rd in scoring at Texas Southern (11.9 ppg): 47% FG, 36% from three. Antwan Walker: 4th in scoring at URI (9.0 ppg, 6.6 rpg). 58% FG, 28% from three. Josh LeBlanc: 9th in scoring at LSU (3.3 ppg). Only shoots at short distance (70%), 0% from three. Chris Sodom: 14th in scoring at Delaware State (1.0 ppg, 1.4 rpg) At 7-3. On a 2-12 team. McClung is probably where he wants to be right now--a "name" player who is on prime time ESPN nearly every week. He's got a real shot at a 2nd round pickup. Akinjo's numbers are about where they were with GU but he doesn't get the same attention owing to Arizona's lack of TV time on the networks. The LeBlanc falloff is he most noticeable but he's got a son now and perhaps that's his priority right now. It does put into question whether he is a legitimate candidate to play overseas at all, where he was trending to be quite a player at Georgetown. Sodom was a mistake to recruit, plain and simple. The Josh LeBlanc situation is sad. I really thought he had a chance at the NBA. At the very least, he has more than enough ability to make money playing ball somewhere. I hope that he turns things around soon.

Not if you do it right. It is something you should practice and know how to do as an experienced college player. You just have to leap up with your hands up, before the ball gets there, make contact with the offensive player, and go for the ball. Not difficult. When the ball is in the air, it is up for grabs. Go and try to grab it, and if you commit a foul in the process, so be it.

EVERY TIME someone goes up to oop on us and we have a chance to impede that, it is a must. You cannot let those plays stand. And the opposition should be returning the favor. That is good, hard, physical basketball.

I would put Bile on Bouknight, but we do not have anyone who matches up well with him.

I think mostly they are just much quicker than us.

Our spacing was all off last night, largely because You Con is quicker than us and disrupted us significantly. They are a bad match up for us, but we did have some open shots that we clanked.

He was a great find and absolutely is a starting level Big East point guard who ought to get a lot better over the years. We need more kids with his passion and effort. He really seems to cherish playing for GU and that is huge.
