www.cityleaguehoops.net/2013/04/21/2013-pitt-jam-fest-day-two-recap/Devin Robinson, 6’7, Richmond Squires, 2014 - A wing with outstanding size, Robinson did a bit of everything against ATL Xpress. He shot the ball effortlessly from three, had a super soft touch in the paint, and used his wingspan to get his hands to get a ton of deflections on the defensive end. Already holding offers from VCU, UCONN, Xavier, Rutgers, Auburn, and Clemson, expect this super smooth wing’s recruitment to blow up this spring. Tariq Owens, 6’9, B’More’s Finest, 2014 - A player who we had heard about but never seen, Owens showed why so many BCS schools are on him. He’s a super long guy at a legit 6’9 and owns a huge wingspan, allowing him to provide a shot blocking presence and finish over the top of people. Additionally, Tariq has a nice package of skills that allow him to shoot it out to around 19 feet and get buckets around the rim with either hand. Holding offers from Miami, South Florida, Seton Hall, and VCU, Owens’ recruitment will pick up heavily as more college coaches get a glimpse of him

Elijah Thomas went head to head with Cliff Alexander and outplayed him. Finished with 23 and 7 and the Dallas big man is still 2015

Devin Robinson out to boost his stock
On Friday night, Devin Robinson impressed most onlookers – but he wasn't content. As a result, he came out on Saturday not looking to hunt his shot.
“I didn't focus on scoring,” Robinson said. “If my shot wasn't falling, I was going to try to work on something else: grabbing rebounds, playing defense, whatever.”
Robinson, a 6-foot-7 forward from Christchurch School (Va.), is ranked at the tail end of most top 100 rankings. That's not good enough for the athletic Squires Richmond prospect.
“My stock has risen a lot,” he said. “During the school year, I dropped out the rankings. Now I've got a chip on my shoulder, and I'm trying to get back in it.”
At this point, Robinson is already a matchup problem for most defenders. He's long and athletic, and can score in different ways. He knocked down a couple of perimeter shots, and also finished at the rim in transition. Moreover, he has the ability to guard multiple positions.
He made his case for why he should be among the top 100 players in the country throughout the weekend in Pittsburgh.
“It's my length. I close out shooters, get rebounds. I'm versatile, can post up smaller guards,” he said. “I shoot well too.”
VCU, Virginia Tech, Connecticut, Rutgers, Towson and Boston University have all offered, while Cincinnati, Miami, Providence, UNC-Greensboro and Georgetown are showing interest.
Robinson said VCU is coming at him the hardest.
“I've been there twice,” he said. “It's how hard they practice. They get each other better and push each other.”
He also plans on visiting Connecticut later in the summer.
“Just players I can play with,” Robinson said when asked what he's looking for in a school. “Good academics. A great style of play, you know, it fits my style of play.”
He's ranked No. 102 in 247 Sports Composite rankings.

scouthoops.scout.com/2/1285480.htmlTariq Owens, PF, Baltimore’s Finest – The long and lanky combo forward had an excellent showing. He blocked several shots, was active on the glass, and made up for his lack of physical strength with effort and a high motor. On top of that he scored it out to the mid-range and overall was excellent. His effort was one of the major bright spots of the day. Jared Nickens, SF, Sports U – Nickens built up a pretty good deal of buzz during the high school season for his play, and he continued with a strong showing on Saturday. He is a good outside shooter who is a good athlete with length. Nickens isn’t explosive going to the rim, but his handle is solid. Look for a lot more schools to begin to get involved.

Vucevic, Harris, Harkless, Afflalo. Andrew Nicholson looked promising at times. Wouldn't want Otto to go there though. They're packed with wings. He'd be better off with the Cavs or Hornets (assuming he doesn't drop and someone like the Wiz, Pistons, or Twolves don't grab a higher spot). Want him miles away from Phoenix or Sacramento. Those organizations are shot. I remember seeing on Twitter about a month ago a Hornets/Pelicans beat writer - name escapes me - saying that New Orleans brass was in love with Otto and that he wouldn't get past him in the draft. However, Chad Ford said he heard the same about the Cavs as well. Will be interesting on draft night.

6'8" forward for at Hagerstown (Md.) St. Maria Goretti High School. Originally from Lithuania. Was the 2012-13 BCL POY. rivals.yahoo.com/maryland/basketball/recruiting/player-Martin-Geben-136913Hoyas have been in contact, no offer as of yet. Apparently, he's been a terror in Team Takeover practices. Recently offered by Xavier and Temple. Maryland is starting to make a move on him.

The Cavaliers actually changed their front office structure after LeBron departed. I didn't say they have a star player at every position - no team does - but I'd take a "serviceable" center who is a good defender, plays like his hair is on fire and gives me double-digits boards nightly, an "undersized" power forward who nearly averaged a double-double while shooting a paltry 49% from the field and an "okay" point guard that was an All-Star in his second season. To say Orlando has zero talent makes me question if you even pay attention to the NBA. Detroit has Greg, Andre Drummond - who has shown flashes of brilliance but is still incredibly raw - and a bunch of contracts it doesn't want. They are nowhere near being "a player away from being a really good team." I would disagree. Orlando is tied for last in the league for a reason. Lack of talent. Their roster has noone of any significant trade value. It's practically an expansion team. As for the Cavs, success or failure of an organization starts at the top. And they still have that crazy owner who cannot evaluate talent. Cavs are very mediocre and in the NBA you can't win with mediocre players. LOL ... right on.

As a Wizards fan, I'd love to have him but he'd fit real well in Cleveland and Orlando has some young pieces that they could either flip for some veterans or develop them. A Cavs squad with Kyrie Irving, Dion Waiters, Otto, Tristan Thompson and Varejao looks real good on paper. That's actually the team I would not want him to go to. They have a crazy owner and a horrible front office. They were gifted Lebron by Stern and couldn't get any blue chip players around him for 8 years. Varejao is nothing more than a serviceable big and Tristan Thompson is an undersized power forward with a low field goal percentage. Kyrie is okay but is injury prone. And I wouldn't not want to play with the trash named Dion Waiters. Cavs will continue to be mediocre. The Magic are just a very bad team with zero talent. I think Detroit is a player away from being a really good team. They already have Monroe and Drummond was a steal in the draft. He leads all rookies in production efficiency. Add Otto to that front court and they are set for years. And Dumars is an excellent GM so Otto would be in good hands. A lot of people thought he could pop to MD a few weeks ago, but he was apparently blown away by the Florida offer and it's known that if Syracuse offers, it could be a wrap.
But MD has done a great job recruiting him.

I agree 100%. As for next year's draft, no one has any idea whatsoever how players like Julius Randle, Andrew Wiggins, Aaron Gordon, etc ... are going to adapt to the college game and how they will be viewed as pro prospects this time next year. People keep saying Otto should leave now because he'll be a lottery pick this year and won't next season because of guys like Noah Vonleh and Chris Walker is funny to me. i have seen wiggins and parker play before. wiggins is a once in a generation talent. if parker enters the upcomin draft, he is certainly goin to be #1 as well. i know what you are saying; these guys are unproven. but they are not certainly going to be busts like shabazz muhammad whom everyone thought he will picked #1 prior to this year. I too have seen both play countless numbers of times, and yes they are talented, but calling Wiggins a once in a generation talent is again funny to me. Wiggins is a talented kid with a high ceiling, nothing more, nothing less.

I get tired of people saying this is a "terrible" draft. Says who? A couple of pundits? What constitutes a "terrible" draft? How does anyone know how this draft will turn out? Ben McLemore, Otto, Trey Burke, Oladipo...they could all turn into all-stars. Who knows? Who doesn't know? That's a serious pet peeve I agree 100%. RDF posted this last April about Rector:
My first time seeing Rector was this weekend. He's 6'1-6'2 and has good frame. Plays with nice pace to his game--under control and gets good looks for teammates but what I liked about him--he knew when to score and when to distribute. Played pretty good defense--but as is case with most HS kids--needs to improve in that area. Surprising athleticism-he gets up when he drives in lane and attacks rim. Saw a clip of him last week prior to event where he dunked on Chris Obekpa who is a good shot blocker but seeing him in person-he doesn't look like he's going to get up as high as he does near rim.
Really liked him and he mentioned Hoyas/liking them quite a bit--but as is case--he's open---but did admit Hoyas are not on him that hard--they are in communication but UMass is on him the most right now. Is hearing from other Big East programs too---and saw Seton Hall, Temple, Cincinnati, at his games.
