Let's be honest...we are lucky. This team has the potential to be a final four team, but thus far have not played like it, not even close. We were lucky against UCONN, Cuse, WVU, and Nova. We did not deserve to win any of those games, and in my opinion the Almighty must be a Georgetown fan. We should be 6-6 in the Big East. How did we allow Nova to shoot less than 25% and stay in the game? We looked pathetic, and were bailed out by a bogus call. It's hard to complain about the record and the national ranking, but anyone who follows the hoyas or knows anything about college basketball must agree that we are not playing like a top 10 team...not even a top twenty team. The team needs to regroup, or we can look forward to an early bounce in the tourney.

calhoun is a joke. I love how even with all his dirty recruiting tactics his team is still mediocre the last few years.

WOW. This start to the second half has been pathetic. What are we doing on offense? Other than the ND game we have yet to play a conf. team like we deserve to be in the top 10. and we're doing it again tonight. At least theres a lot of time left

We look so sloppy on offense. And why on earth do our guards not feed Roy the ball when he has solid low post position?

I agree with being on the bubble, because we are surely not a lock at this point. Last season cuse' was 10-6 in the Big East, with 2 wins over top 20 teams, and they were snubbed. Thus far we haven't defeated a top 25 team, and in our two opportunities have been whooped. On the plus side, both of those games were on the road.

I'm happy we won, but this game shouldn't have been so close. We played an average cuse team, with a 7 man rotation, starting three freshman(none of whom are named Carmelo). without two vet. starters, at home, and we got out-rebounded(AGAIN). Not to mention we had some great calls(and non calls) go our way down the stretch. We didn't deserve to win whatsoever, but I'll take it. We play like that against a good Big East team, and we would have been smacked. Also, how many cuse fans were at the game? on espn they seemed to be louder than our fans.

while it's still early in the season, I am concerned that we've only played 2 ncaa caliber teams(Memphis and Pitt), and both times we were handled. Uconn and Odu may make the tourney, but it's a big maybe, and by no means are they top 20. Our top 10 ranking is mainly due to our pre-season ranking. I was at the game, and could not comprehend our awful rebounding. Blair is 6'7, and he absolutely dominated the glass. We have very few fundamentally sound rebounders; I feel like a have a better chance at seeing a solar eclipse than seeing someone on our team box out. We had VERY few solid defensive rebounds, as many of the balls we did come down with were tapped around a few times before they were controlled by our players. Good thing it's still early in conf. play, but if we can't rebound, we're not going to do much this season.

wow we are not a good team once we lose a lead. We look pathetic on offense right, lots of standing around and watching whoever has the ball. Zero movement, and no one except Hibbert is even making an attempt to crash the O glass.

While i agree that he has an unbelievable skill set with tons of potential, he did not look like a #1 pf. It worries me that he couldn't get up for a game on espn 2 against a nationally ranked opponent. That is not good.

yes, the dunk was insane, but he has also missed several layups, is getting killed on the defensive end by aminu, and he's not doing much on the boards. Hopefully he can pick it up in the second half.

I'm worried, but not because of KenPom's Rankings. We can not rebound, and unlike getting into an offensive flow, and learning to win without Jeff, rebounding has nothing to do with learning our system. There is no reason why our team should be giving up several offensive rebounds a game to smaller and inferior comp. 62 offensive rebounds through 6 games, that is awful.

I'm happy that we won, and ODU is a solid team, but I do not like the fact that we gave up 19 offensive rebounds. That is pathetic. We are not an undersized team, we have the players with ability to rebound. Memphis is incredibly athletic, and if we can't rebound vs. ODU... What is going to happen against Memphis, Lou, Uconn, etc? There will be nights when we don't shoot the ball well, and what happens then?
