Typically because frosh are too far away with other current players ahead of them. When I created the thread it was to keep track of the guys closest to the 1000 point mark and celebrate when they reached it. Since then it has taken on a life of its own with overseers who keep track of the points for the guys who already hit the 1000 mark as well as a logging of accumulation in other statistical categories. For example a lot of space in this thread was dedicated last season to specific categories such as three-point shots made, in large part because of freshmen Pickett and Blair. However next season would be the time in which our current freshmen would go to the forefront of the watch.

Yeah, I was going to update the totals for most stats at the end of the season, but we’re not going to see a 1,000 point scorer before next February or so, at the earliest.
Edit: looking at my earlier post, I’m realizing I haven’t updated the assists table. I’ve been following that one because I’ve been amazed at Akinjo’s pace. He’s already in the top 50 now, with 166 assists.
And he may be third in the table for most 3-pointers by a freshman, too. (I think it was around 50, before Jamorko and Jahvon both broke it last season).

I meant more **these particular** freshmen.
James and Mac are by far the most likely Hoyas to be the next 1,000 points scorers (at least all in a Hoya uniform). Let's add them to the list!

I know this thread is for accolades but I have to ask after seeing another miss tonight.
For all players with 30+ attempts from 3pt land is Mourning the worst in Gtown history?
I think he's just above 16% now...

Catching up, since I didn't update after the BET/NIT, hear are the final stats/ranks for the class of 2019:
In career totals, Jessie finished with: - 1,664 points, 12th all-time. - 843 rebounds, 7th all-time. - 140 blocks, 11th all-time. - 91 3-pointers, 25th all time. - 171 assists, 46th all-time. - 612 made FGs, 9th all-time - 349 made FTs, 13th all-time.
Despite his defensive shortcomings, Jessie was an incredibly gifted offensive big man.
Kaleb Johnson: - 32 blocks, t-48th - 98 assists, 81st - 29 3-pointers, t-58th
Trey Mourning: - 14 blocks, t-87th - 6 3-pointers, t-82th

I’ve always found it to be interesting and fun to follow, and I get supremely frustrated when someone else doesn’t take the time to do it! And it’s altogether possible Akinjo could crack 1000 this year. Would be quite an accomplishment.

Closeout totals of note for James and Josh -- needless to say, not where I expected them to wind up in their Hoya careers:
James Akinjo: - 536 points - 117 rebounds - 204 assists (36th all time) - 51 steals (77th all time) - 81.2 FT% (30th all time)
Josh LeBlanc: - 342 points - 258 rebounds - 44 blocks (38th all-time) - 34 steals (t-100th) - 63.6% 3 point shooting percentage, with 7 of 11 3PA. (#1 among players with at least 10 attempts.)

Jamorko Pickett, 98 25th-t. Jahvon Blair, 93 39th. Mac McClung, 57 Blocks: 30th. Jamorko Pickett, 57 78th-t. Omer Yurtseven, 17 85th-t. Jagan Mosely, 16

Blair also joined a small list of Hoyas to have 7 3pters in a game. I know I'm missing someone but it includes Owens, Freeman and DSR.
