Against Providence, Roy and Jon both passed the 300-point marks in their career, while D.J. snagged rebound #300.

Cook had 15 versus Providence giving him 829 points for his career. Just 171 points away with at least 18 games left.

Cook is up to 886 career points and looks likely to make it to 1000.
Bowman has a career total of 1377 points. In about a week's time he should pass Charles Smith for 15th place.

Speaking of 1,000...
The Duke game was the 979th Georgetown game broadcast by Rich Chvotkin. He has broadcasted well over 1,000 games in his career...for a time he broadcasted all of the Big East Tournament games.
If the Hoyas make it to the Finals of the Big East Tournament, and then to the Championship Game of the Final Four, that will be the 1,000th Georgetown game of his career. No pressure!

Bowman has 1385 points.
III got his 100th win in 159 tries.

After DePaul,
Cook has 917 points, Brandon has 1,407 and Darrel has 707. It struck me that this team may have five or more 1,000 point career scorers on it at different stages in their career.
BTW, here's a question. If Jeff were to stay four years, does he have a chance to go down as the best all-around player in the Thompson Era? By that, I mean versatile/ability to do everything, not best overall. The competition, of course, is Reggie Williams.
At current paces, if Jeff were to get Reggie's 138 games:
Reggie would have him on points 2,117 to 1,705. Jeff would win on boards 904 to 886. Jeff would take assists 422 to 327. Reggie would easily win steals 206 to 138. Jeff blows Reggie away in blocks 187 to 66.
Of course, Jeff won't get 138 games, and he might not stay four years. And he hasn't yet led our team to an Elite Eight or been part of a National Champ. But he's got three years to do it if he sticks around!

If Ashanti stays par for the course, he should just about break the 1000 point threshold by the end of the Conference schedule.
Of course, here's to us playing at least 10 more games baby, and I don't mean this season, I mean before the NCAA tournament!
Keep up the good work Ashanti and...
LET'S GO HOYAS!!! SERVE ST. JOHN'S!

SF you brought up a great question of whether jeff may be the most well-rounded player in the thompson era-i think that if he stays here for 4 years and he will deff contribute even more- he may break some of the records here..

Sweet graphic, SF - and congrats to a guy who has been often maligned, but has always kept with it and been there when we really need him.

Congrats to Ashanti.
And thanks to SF for bumping this thread and for remembering to use the "crawling scroll"/Marquee graphic to celebrate Ashanti's accomplishment.
Who's up next?

Technically, DJ, I think. But since he'd need about (over?) 250 points in a max of eight more games (over 30 ppg), I think it is time to move onto Jeff.

Is it wrong to point out that Roy had a solid four chances to hit 500 on Friday?

We've got caught up in the tourney and apparently this was never updated for year end.
Brandon Bowman ended his career with 1548 pts (12th all-time) and 739 rebounds (10th all-time). He also finished with 232 assists, 170 steals (14th) and 100 blocks (t-13th).
The only other player that has at least 100 points, rebounds, assists, blocks and steals is Patrick Ewing, I think.
Ashanti Cook finished with 1,057 pts, 317 rebs, 297 assists, and 130 steals.
Darrel Owens finished with 802 pts, 357 rebs, 224 assists, and 138 steals.
Next up on the Countdown to 1,000:
Jeff Green has 811 points. Roy Hibbert has 545 points. Jon Wallace has 470 points.
