Assuming 10 games remaining, DSR achieves 1,900 career points by averaging 13.2ppg and achieves 2,000 points by averaging 23.2ppg.
Assuming 10 games remaining, DSR passes Wallace by averaging 0.7 3PFG made/game. _____
Assuming 12 games remaining, DSR achieves 1,900 career points by averaging 11.0ppg and achieves 2,000 points by averaging 19.3ppg.
Assuming 12 games remaining, DSR passes Wallace by averaging 0.6 3PFG made/game.
2,000 points is quite possible with a string of extra games in the NCAAs/NIT. Barring injury, Wallace's career 3PFG record should fall in the next 2-4 games.

Definitely feel like DSR will get to 2000 points if we get those two extra games (mainly b/c I think he'll have to average 20ppg for us to do so)

Ironically, the best chance for DSR to reach 2,000 points may be an extended run in the NIT.
Even if we make the NCAAs by some miracle, we will very likely be a low seed, and underdogs from the start. For example, if a 10 seed, we would play a 7 (e.g., Texas, Wichita St.) and then a 2 (e.g., Kansas, Virginia, Michigan State).

It will be nice that DSR should break Wallace's 3-Pt record during one of the next 3 home games. Hopefully Sports Information has enough good sense to honor the achievement during a timeout after the record is broken, or, even better, by presenting DSR with a plaque before the start of the next game after he breaks it.
I think it is important to honor great achievements by players who have stayed with the program for the full 4 years. Sends a great message.

I know for some reason we don't want to keep track of DSRs rebounds but he has 82 this season and 475 for his career. I think that is about 36th on the all time list and he may make 500 with a fraction over 4 rebounds per game if we don't make the NCAA or NIT. If we play more than 6 more games he will need less than 4 rebounds per game to make 500. Only a handful of guards and about 30 players total at GU have made that mark. I believe the important point of this is that even when he is not scoring, DSR has been finding ways to try to help his teams win for all 4 years! I think it will be hard to find a player rounding out the stat columns in as many ways as DSR. The only one that I remember who did more for his teams was Reggie of the Miracles. Hoping DSR finds his own miracles in the next month!

How many GU players have achieved 1,800 points, 500 rebounds, and 350 assists? Sleepy and Reggie?
***Edited***
Looked it up. DSR would become the only GU player in history to achieve 1,800 points, 500 rebounds, and 350 assists. Reggie fails on assists. Sleepy fails on rebounds.

The lack of team success this season will be why DSR doesn't reach 2,000 points.
Assuming only 3 games remaining (Nova, DePaul, and BET 2nd round), DSR will need to average 38.7ppg to reach 2,000 points.
If the team can somehow go on a BET run and/or make a post-season run in a lower caliber tournament, 7 remaining games would allow DSR to reach 2,000 points by averaging 16.6ppg.
Doesn't look feasible right now. To bad. That 2,000 point mark is a helluva achievement.
