Is Roy channeling Moses Malone and going for a 20+ rebound night based on getting his own misses? Seriously. When was the last time Roy shot this poorly? 2/7??? Plus side is if he's going to miss easy shots--at least he's doing so in a game we're finding a way to grind to a decent lead. Just wish I could see it--stuck with A&M-Penn and it's likely to cause people to become Rip Van Winkle for rest of NCAA's.

What was the 4th 15-2 upset? I remember Coppin State-SC, Hamption-Iowa St., and Richmond-Syracuse...this is driving me crazy...

Belmont is shooting like they're flustered. A couple of buckets here can put this away.

JE III--that's type of update I like hear--now let's pound it down low and go inside/out and just take this game over and deliver a knockout blow--do it now and we've got some breathing room, can get reserves more run to prepare for Saturday--don't let teams hang around in March when they are asking to be put away!

According to the Belmont broadcast, the officials are swallowing the whistle with respect to Georgetown. Also, I'm pretty sure Andy Wicke has the flu.

Fyi, here's The Sports Guy Bill Simmons' take on the game:
11:55: Belmont Prep 9, Georgetown 4! We're officially on Upset Watch. I don't care if this would completely destroy my bracket, I'm rooting for this one.
Thought you should know.

Beautiful!
Enjoy it because, with this score, CBS is going to switch games.

So far so good this half--up 15-5 to start, Roy's got himself a double double and Jeff is getting his rest.

Jay Bilas on Belmont trying to stop Roy: "Kind of like playing against your Dad in the driveway" An apt comparison Duke-boy

So it Roy going to out rebound the other team... by himself? 13-19!
I want to see (well, read) Sead play this afternoon.
Just called my dad (@ the game) - he is less then happy with the ref situation.

How did this team win its conference tournament? The reason the Hoyas have turned it around so quickly is on DEFENSIVE end--if you watch Hoyas play and some other teams, we really do a great job on defensive end--Belmont is offensively talented--but if you are harrassed majority of time down court--it takes your spirit away. As for Bill Simmons--this man is a complete TOOL when it comes to his CBB awareness. He is slurping Big XII basketball and to be honest--if Penn was decent--not good--just decent--they'd be in game or leading--that is how UNIMPRESSED by Texas A&M I've been and Texas Tech and the "Great" Bob Knight play ZERO DEFENSE--nothing. Neither did Boston College though--so I like Hoyas chances on Saturday against BC--if you don't get after it on defense against GU--you are not going to win--Hoyas will clamp you down on your end and get easy hoops on offense if you don't check cutters, and rotate--which Tech, nor BC did. Now let's FINISH THESE GUYS OFF and prepare for Saturday! Put them out of their misery.

(apologies to those who aren't watching the coverage and are wondering what the hell I'm talking about) Princeton - UCLA. Gabe Lewullis from Goodrich on a backdoor cut. I think Thomspon was the second assistant at that time.
