get it to 15 or more at the half. start the second half well, get the lead to 20. manage the game.

quietest 38 point half ever...up thirteen and didn't play that well, need to keep pounding it inside and hitting the open threes in the second half...let's go hoyas!

Are we at the point where we can use Good / Bad DaJuan? The kid is a TALENT!!! Too often he's just a spot-up shooter. He's got serious skills... USE 'EM, KID!!!
That was an Esherickian last possession to end the half... ugh.

Up 13 at the Half is strong--and key is to come out roaring in 2nd Half--and pound them down low on our end--Big Roy and Jeff will be back in and they have to adjust how the game is being called--you can't play ball--or they'll blow whistle--so play smart and be more aggressive on our end of court--eventually these guys have to swallow the whistle and let kids play. Main thing is--close out on shooters--and force them to drive/attack our middle--then on offense/inside/out and come out to start Half like it's beginning of the game.

great coaching by JTIII.
he knew exactly what lineup would first get us back in the game, and then what lineup would help build the lead. I like the fact that our bench is getting some good playing time in the game. That will help us a lot in the future rounds (*knocks on wood*) when we will need depth in case Roy or Jeff get into foul trouble.

We have shown that we are a better team with Jeff on the floor. We should be good in the 2nd half.

Jessie's back--that was a huge half from him: 11pts, 4/6 FGs, 3/5 3pt FG and 4 boards. And considering the foul trouble he was in, Roy's 4 Oreb. and 6 overall are not a bad stat.

Can't watch on TV, but following at work.
With so many fouls called in the half in the frontcourt that 13 point lead is fantastic. Can't see how we got there but from a stat perspective, couldn't ask for more with 3 bigs strapped with 2 fouls each. Belmont coach cannot be happy.

No way Buff--Bowman earned that nickname with his passive, inconsistent play over 4 YEARS-Summers is superior to Bowman in every facet as a Frosh. He'll get the message on not just spotting up--but III likely was afraid he'd get called for fouls too--so why not keep him out of foul trouble as well. Main thing is we're up double digits at Half-have our best 2 players in Foul Trouble and ready to go for 2nd Half and can play much stronger--going by what all of the fans on boards are saying--so I'll take this position right now. Just come out STRONG to being Half and give them nothing to get a spark.

A great advantage of having the high seed is that we put together a half like the one we just did... and we're still up by a bakers dozen.

I was surprised that we took 14 3's vs 8 for BU. Gotta get Roy involved too. Roy is rebounding and giving out the assists though.
Just got connected to MMOD, but wouldn't you know it is halftime and the talking heads are on.

Main thing is--close out on shooters--and force them to drive/attack our middle-- actually, we shouldnt have to close out on shooters as we should never remove ourselves from their grill in the first place. can you imagine the domination if their guards cant get a shot off and all they can do is give it to the 6-8 guy to try to shoot over the trees and get a rebound. hibbs is rebounding without leaving his feet.

True--but I'll take Summers in HS over Bowman as a SR last year with same coach. I prefer CHARM CITY NUTTAGE over "Santa Monica Confusion".
