I'll have to check my TiVo, but I'm pretty sure the GU Pep band played the Eastern Motors theme coming back from commercial. Sweet.
Also, AZ was the other No. 2 to lose.

Bilas loves Austin and mentions Wright too. Dick E. knows about "Big Ticket". Way to read the talking points! Hoyas must adopt Bilas--the man is in love with our program and doesn't sacrifice his announcing skills in doing so--could the present/future be Bilas hatred for loving GU like Vitale and Duke?

I definitely heard the Eastern Motors song in there. I keep picturing Clinton Portis bobbing his head to that tune in a used Escalade.

Don't forget the slightly-off lip sync. That's the biggest key of the eastern motors song.

One down- BC goes down next. Couldn't watch any of the game thanks to the CBS online blackout, but I'm not too surprised by anything that occurred. Belmont is a scrappy team and we a re one of the big favorites in this thing--not surprised we played sloppy for awhile. The important thing is we ended up blowing them out and seemed to end up using a lot of secondary guys to do it. Great job by Jessie to really step things up in this game--if he takes his game to the next level for this tournament, WATCH OUT!!! Let's roll right over BC!!!!

It would be nice to play a first half without having to sit Jeff & Roy the last ten minutes. This seems to be a trend of ours.

I only saw half the game (thanks cbs), but Jessie played great in the part of the game I did see. We helped off shooters way too much, but we played great defense in the latter part of the second half.
Also, the officials let Belmont beat roy to death inside, but if we touched them it was a foul.....frustrating. I hope that trend doesn't continue on Saturday against BC.
Good win, but we have bigger fish to fry

Good old CBS cut away and sent us to the Butler-ODU game about 5 minutes into the second half. And then I don't know whether it was just bad luck with the timing of commercials or what, but all of a sudden it was 55-35 good guys. THen I swear the score never changed until they posted the 80-55 final. Coming from 11-4 down to start, that is a pretty impressive 76-44 "run."

MMOD worked well. I logged in as my East Coast self, but the game was blacked out, so I went to my West Coast self and after waiting in line for 30 seconds, it worked like a charm (except for some hanging once in a while - Belmont takes the shot, pause, pause, Georgetown has a fast break and makes the basket).

We need to step it up to beat BC. It may be a good thing that Jeff and Roy played so little today since we will need them big time on Saturday. GO HOYAS!!!!!

props to belmont for showing up, playing hard and having a bunch of fans representing.
the hoyas did what they had to do - get through this game with relative ease and no injuries.
BEAT BC!

Thorton and Egerson with ZERO minutes today according the cbssportsline Gametracker...I wonder if Coach is trying to send a message... Yeah - pretty weak that they've been off the team for months and still show on the CBS site. Also, about 5-10 mins after the game they showed DNP for Sead and a few other guys that according to the game log and posts in here actually played. Their sports site tech is from the 90's.
