Went to the Meadowlands site - sold out, but it looks like there is a 4-hour open practice (free) on Thursday.

I'm also looking for 2 tix. Is Craigslist the best option at this point?

I wish there was a Cafe 31 location in the parking lot of the Continental Arena (aka Brendan Byrne Arena)! We will do the next best thing and simply tailgate in the back of my Saturn VUE!
I am anxiously trying to track down 1, 2 or 3 tickets for Friday's game. If anyone wants to sit next to a drunken dog, please let me know!
If any of the Cafe 31 crowd is able to make it into the game there is an important thing to remember... there is no beer sold in the venue! I am serious. I provided the same warning to the board before Seton Hall game, but I know that some people did not listen to my warning.

Jahidi's Saturn is all pimped out! Along with an unlimited supply of cans of Budweiser, you'll get to listen to the Geto Boys, Wyclef Jean, and Fergielicious.
I'm also driving up for the game and unless the Hoop Club can accomodate me I'll need ticket(s).

So...did the University change who can buy tickets today? The referenced note above (and on the front page) says "Hoop Club Donors" wheras the email I got (and now on the website) says "all athletics donors." What gives?!? So someone who gave a little more than me to the GU Sailing team would get preference over me for tickets? Can anyone clarify this? Here is the email sent out today:
The number of tickets Georgetown receives from the NCAA is extremely limited and the allocation from the NCAA will be used to provide tickets for the team, coaches, students, and athletics donors.
Tickets for the 2007 NCAA Division I East Regional at Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, N.J. will be available through the Georgetown University ticket office beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 19 for all athletics donors at the Champion’s Circle ($25,000+), Blue & Gray ($10,000+), Coach’s Circle ($5,000+) and Diamond Hoya ($2,500+) levels. Donors at these levels may request up to FOUR (4) tickets by calling (202) 687-2449 until 2 p.m.
After 2 p.m., all other athletics donors can call 202-687-2449 to place an order for up to TWO (2) tickets, subject to availability.
The ticket package includes tickets for both the Friday and Sunday sessions for a total of $132.
No tickets are guaranteed and you will be notified by the morning of Tuesday, March 20 if Georgetown is able to fulfill your request.
NCAA Basketball Tournament seating location is assigned by the NCAA. The vast majority of the seats Georgetown receives will be in the upper level of the arena. Please understand that the seats you receive will likely be in this area. Specific location will be determined by the donor levels.
Call (202) 687-2449 to come out and support the Hoyas at the NCAA East Regional.
All tickets must be picked-up in person at will-call at the site of the tournament.

Think there will be a chance for a young alum (ie, lowest possible donor) to get tix at 2?

I've been tracking Friday ticket prices, but it doesn't look like I can get the strip (Friday and Sunday tickets) for below $350 per seat. Now, I'm thinking of waiting for Friday's game to buy Sunday tickets. Please, anyone with experience, do you know if ticket prices fall for Sunday's game after the Friday games finish (a la the Big East Tournament)? Trying to see how I should go about procuring tickets.

Did anyone get through at 2? I tried for 15 minutes, but got nothing but busy signals. I got through at 2:15. At about 1:59, I got it to ring and was really excited. After about 50 rings however, the line cut out. I guess the athletic department's "state of the art " phone system wasn't made to handle the large volume of calls (shocking!). The second time a very nice athletic department employee answered (after about 25 rings) and took my information. She said we would find out later today or tommorrow, but would not tell me what the chances were. I have to compliment the athletic dept. employees for doing their best to handle all of our calls. It is not their fault that everything about McDonough is antiquated. Maybe one day there will be a phone system in there that auto-answers and puts people on hold like most offices...

It took me thirty minutes (including five of ringing w/o answer, but I got through. Unfortunately, all the ticket office could tell me was that I was on the request list. They will get back to me later with the word as to whether tickets are available for my paltry donation level. Keeping fingers crossed.

just got through... that's how it worked for W-S as well... you get an email saying whether get tix or not. I think they do it based on when you call and what your giving level is...
