recruting periods and info.

the spring recruting period is right now,it starts around april 8th and runs thru may 15th or around there . it is the late signing period and ends in may. the early period is in nov 8-15th. it is only 7 to 8 days every year. so if we sign a recruit now until may 15th or around that date it will be a 2004-005 signing for this coming season.someone stated that this period last's until nov,it does not. i just wanted to clear the recruting period up for those who do not know. now for the 2005-006 season we can get a verbal committment,but can't sign a recruit untill this nov 8-15th that is the early signing period for the 2005-006 season. theapril thru mid may is late period for 2004-005 recruits to sign.

Just a clarification that it's not that 2004 recruits can't sign with a school after May 15, only that they can't sign a binding letter of intent. Georgetown has signed players after the deadline (Reed and Dizdarevic last year, for example) without the need for an LOI.

Also, a general note on recruiting (not specific to the post above): please don't attribute to coaches comments in your posts about recruits. E-mail the admin if you have questions in this regard.
