There's a short Q&A with Coach Thompson in the new Sports Illustrated.
Does not appear to be available on-line.

Probably wasn't a good idea to copy the whole interview. Below is my favorite exchange. The interview is available by searching LexisNexis or ProQuest.
SI: You have a two-year-old son, John Wallace Thompson. Has he shown any interest in coaching?
Thompson III: Not yet. But he shoots all the time. The kid never passes the ball.
SI: I read that your dad never wanted you to be a coach. What do you think he secretly wanted you do to?
Thompson III: (Laughs.) It's not so much that he wanted me to do something in particular. He used to say, "I spent all this money on your Princeton education, and you want to be a coach? You've wasted my money. You're a fool."

PushyGuy:
Thank you. Though probably a violation of a number of different copyright laws, your reprinting of the interview in full is much appreciated by we the board members. I know DFW will help out with any applicable fines, & God knows, there's probably a whole slew of lawyers who are HoyaTalk posters.
;D ;D ;D
Just kidding.
Thanks again!

He named his kid John Wallace??? What was he thinking? How about John Duren Thompson or John Jacques Thompson?
Could be a sign that he doesn't consult pops on every big decision after all.
